NB: Often word sudoku puzzles leave a letter off the board. Subsitute a question mark or asterisk as you solve--you'll find the word regardless :)

There is a missing letter- but it is still solvable. I think the letter was let out to avoid people using an anagram solver.

[10] I didn't know that! I've worked many many different kinds of sudokus, some with letters, but none like that. It had me confused but I kept plugging away any way!

[11] Good point. I tried with my 8 letters anyway. :) And I used a crossword solver to get it after 6 letters.

[11] I used the anagram solver and got it.

Just go through the alphabet one letter at a time inserting a missing letter. Took all of 35 seconds.

Which suits me fine, since I don't like these puzzles, O puzzle author!

BTW, what's the etiquette for solving one's own puzzles? Should I at least wait until after the first 100? ...after the first 24 hours? Or do I just leave unsolved for myself forever?

You COULD just solve it with the 8 letters and a "?" in any Scrabble Word Finder program out there without even doig the Sudoku.

surprised by the 4 star difficulty rating, this is a puzzle site, you would think people here know how to do a sudoku puzzle or at very worse use an anagram generator or crossword solver!!

[28] Different people have different talents. Some excel in logic, others math, others word puzzle, puns, music, etc.

Not everyone is the same, or likes Suduku puzzles.

Me, I'm a crossword fan, I love the puns and wordplay.

Had to get help from the local Sudoku master.....

wish i had been here last night! scrambled letters seem to click in my brain so i saw the letters there and typed the answer, solved in two seconds. :(
