The first pic should be easy, but it seems not to be?
[5] Thanks, got the first pic, but the rest seems easy, but makes no sense ????

  5. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Sep 13, 2010 07:10 PM

[4] Problem with the first pic is there's nothing to show you the comparative size of that tasty treat.

  6. FilePepperdajagr on Sep 13, 2010 07:17 PM

Man, those voiced versus unvoiced consonants...

  7. Slide1Onionkindofadork on Sep 13, 2010 07:19 PM

    Nice one - thanks.

Puzzles like this keep me returning.

How timely since that was the reading at Mass on Sunday

  10. FileSailboatrashawnsgrandma on Sep 13, 2010 07:31 PM

Hey, how do you remove an N from shrimp? At least that's what we call the 1st pic in Texas.
Just joshing y'all, I know what it is, I've been to a fish market in San Francisco where they call 'em that! :)
I'm probably the only person you'll ever meet who went to a restaurant at Fisherman's Wharf & ordered & ate a cheeseburger! And it was yummmmmmy, too :) I know I was the only one not using chopsticks in the restaurant we went to in Chinatown. :)

  11. Eg181208Potatotvfamily on Sep 13, 2010 07:30 PM

I seem to have these pronouncing problems with Denise's puzzles. Also there seems to be missing consonants? [6]

  12. Blane_400x400PlumBlaneMather on Sep 13, 2010 07:49 PM

You solved this puzzle in 2 minutes and 2 seconds and were the 241st Tanga member to solve it.

Sounded it out, but it is a bit awkward.

    Still, yay me!

  13. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Sep 13, 2010 07:52 PM

[10] I was wondering the same thing! lol! Had to really think to remember another name. This was really nice, Denise!
[11] I don't see any missing consonants. There's a D/T, K/G kind of change out but those are pretty standard around here.

Q: What's the difference between a shrimp and the item in picture #1?

    A: About $2 a pound!

  15. Avatar_profileStrawberryDAWNSNEWS on Sep 13, 2010 08:25 PM

  18. AnguseyeaCarrotbamar on Sep 14, 2010 03:47 AM

I know what all three pics are but I'm not making any sense from this puzzle at all. I keep saying it over and over and nothing.

  19. Avatar_profileLemongeorgzel on Sep 14, 2010 04:21 AM

woo hoo first time in the top 500

  20. Phi3CornPhilana on Sep 14, 2010 04:30 AM

[13] I don't agree that D/T or K/G sound switches are "standard" on Tanga.

  21. PlatypusGrapesPlatypus_Venom on Sep 14, 2010 05:55 AM

    There's no N in shrimp.

  22. Avatar_profilePeachbillsbarfers on Sep 14, 2010 07:04 AM

  23. Dsc_0789Grapesdeputydog73 on Sep 14, 2010 08:30 AM

It was a good puzzle. Put it all together and said it all very quickly. Got it on second try. Good puzzle.

  24. Avatar_profilePlumdebrabprescott on Sep 14, 2010 09:10 AM

I agree with "bamar" [18] I know what all three pics are but I'm not making any sense from this puzzle at all. I keep saying it over and over and nothing. I've said it fast and slow and nothing. I guess this is just not my game. lol

  25. Eg181208Potatotvfamily on Sep 14, 2010 09:26 AM

the 610th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 10 points for solving this.

[20] took your salt to correct my prounounciation. Sheeeeeeeeeeeesh..................... :(

  26. FilePumpkinJohn on Sep 14, 2010 09:31 AM

    [18] [24]

The first two pictures are syllables from the first word.
The second picture is the entire second word of the answer, and a straight-forward homophone.

  27. Avatar_profileGrapesjaynedoe13 on Sep 14, 2010 10:14 AM

    Thanks #9

  28. PlatypusGrapesPlatypus_Venom on Sep 14, 2010 10:45 AM

    This was a real stretch.

  35. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Sep 15, 2010 10:04 AM

[20][28] Kind of like the ubiquitous use of "duh" to clue "the"? :)

  36. Avatar_profileStrawberrytewelltime on Sep 16, 2010 02:49 PM

Thanks for all the hints. I finally got it.

  37. Tanga_nate_2_GrapesTangaNate on Sep 17, 2010 07:31 PM

Man - Had to do a google search for other words for shrimp... Fun one!

  38. Sherman109Plumtina20 on Sep 21, 2010 09:32 AM

    That was really stretching it.

  39. Avatar_profilePearblocher86 on Sep 22, 2010 10:28 AM

Agree with [38] and had to do [37]--maybe use a different first picture.
