yup! Just happened to drop by tonight...saw this puzzle, thought I'd give it a try.
Swell sweep tonight, Jeb!
Made 32nd on this one and 31st on the hyper. Simple one here, but nice!
I got this quite by chance. You solved this puzzle in 11 minutes and 56 seconds and were the 77th Tanga member to solve it.
Yeah. CP and OWW were two cute puzzles that didn't require scratching my head for an hour
Lovely. If I'd got here a few minutes earlier, I might just have got rid of this potato and become a radish.
Oh well....there is always tomorrow :D
[8] What does that mean... got rid of this potato and become a radish.
Yahtzee!!!
Nice one, Jeb.
"2 minutes and 19 seconds and were the 101st Tanga member" That's what I get for not being here on time.
[9] In ancient Greece, the potato was sign of divinely granted visions. I'm guessing it was related to the potato's eyes. For instance the Oracle at Delphi often wore a potato on a gold chain. The tuber was a badge of both great power AND great responsibility. However some of the "potato people" couldn't handle the responsibility of directing other people's lives and often ended up taking their own.
The radish people, as the lowest class of citizens, were left to themselves, as I'm sure you can understand. Little was required of them and little was given to them. They were often required to display a radish, both on their person and their homes, so that others could easily identify them.
It was not uncommon for someone to want to get rid of their potato in exchange for a radish. Life could be simpler (bit not necessarily easier) that way.
Either that or bamar was referring to the to little icons that signify the number of accumulated Tanga points a person has.
[11] you crack me up
Any salt?
[13] i could sure use some...
nm - got it - just needed some simple math....
[12] I was thinking the same thing.
Poor bamar's been wanting to lose that potato forever it seems! :)
You solved this puzzle in 1 minute and 39 seconds and were the 174th Tanga member to solve it.
Great puzzle... wish I could have gotten here sooner.
Ugh, I was using only the top face of the dice instead of all of them...
nice puzzle
[11] LOL
[17] When I saw this puzzle in the queue, I thought, "Wow, how has no one does this idea before? So wonderfully simple, and yet still a nice 'aha' to it." I like it when something new comes along that just seems so obvious.
I play a lot of games that involve dice, from Risk on up. Typically when rolling dice, one would only count the number of pips that are face up.
I liked this one. Nice and simple, but required a bit of work to get the answer. Very nice.
[17] I like the hint of the right thing to do after trying the wrong method a few times.
