I'm of two minds on the loading issues. On the one hand, I agree that it is very frustrating when the loading is slow. I AM here at puzzle post time because I DO want to solve quickly and get the points (doesn't mean I don't have a life - if I can't be here, I'm not; but if I am, why not compete?).
On the other hand, as a puzzle creator who has had the misfortune of my puzzle running on a slow-load night, I weary of the complaints. I want to know what people thought of my puzzle and instead the forum is full of people complaining... it has nothing to do with my puzzle, but it drags me down nonetheless. Which is why I now tend to swallow my loading complaints.
