You solved this puzzle in 2 minutes and 58 seconds and were the 45th Tanga member to solve it.

Was only able to get the 3rd, 4th, and 5th ones at first. Finally the 2nd one popped into my head and was able to guess correctly from there!

I got the individual words except for the last one, and know the theme, but just can't figure out what to do with it

[13] You're never "sunk" if you know how to use the internet. For this puzzle, try http://onelook.com/ .

  19. Julia20Sailboatjila58 on Mar 12, 2011 07:13 PM

[13] I had the same problem, there were a couple I've never heard of but there are also a couple everyone should know, after that I had to guess at the theme and use google a bit to figure out the others.

  20. 19-1Grapesbirdburnett on Mar 12, 2011 07:14 PM

I got the first level quickly. now what?

  23. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Mar 12, 2011 07:18 PM

    [20] lather, rinse, repeat.

  24. FileCarrotmmene on Mar 12, 2011 07:19 PM

Awesome puzzle, very nicely thought out theme.

  25. Nick_dress_blues_2Pancakesbitwisenot on Mar 12, 2011 07:31 PM

[22] The first is historical. The last has to do with a sport.

  26. Eg181208Potatotvfamily on Mar 12, 2011 07:38 PM

completely lost on the last one.....

  27. Nick_dress_blues_2Pancakesbitwisenot on Mar 12, 2011 07:40 PM

    [26] D-fence ::clap clap:: D-fence...

  28. Eg181208Potatotvfamily on Mar 12, 2011 07:42 PM

I know its sports related, but no word is coming to me..... :(

  29. Egyptian_2Garlicweisspferd on Mar 12, 2011 07:44 PM

{22} Sounds like you could use a message from God and five for fighting...

  30. Cutie_jillianPeppersuzique on Mar 12, 2011 07:52 PM

[28] Would it help to find the band who sings "If Today Was Your Last Day?". Their name is the same as the key player in this defense.

  31. MarkerryanCarrotryanker on Mar 12, 2011 07:52 PM

[11] Yeah, the two end ones were the hardest. Just had to list all the possibilities I could think until the ahas came. Then I almost forgot what came after lathering and rinsing.

The last one is particularly tricky if you don't know (American) Football.

  32. Eg181208Potatotvfamily on Mar 12, 2011 07:54 PM

51 minutes and 34 seconds and were the 157th Tanga member to solve it! I want to thank those that came to my "defense". Never heard of that.....I'm not real big in sports.....but come-on how well known is this? Also had to think a minute about lather-rinse-repeat. :)

  33. Images_1_Sailboathurricanechelsea on Mar 12, 2011 07:55 PM

I had never heard of the last one, but using the background (even though I am not a fan of metal) I was able to figure out the word, which goes nicely with the answer.

  34. Avatar_profileAppleBarry1214 on Mar 12, 2011 08:50 PM

Living in America's oldest seaport an old Clam Digger like me got kinda stuck. Then I lathered again and realized the error of my ways. But the last clue took all the salt I could get and then some. Considered "basic" but never heard of it. Loved the puzzle and theme except for last clue. So I have to put it back on myself before I criticize and I guess "bag" would be kinda not in good taste. So I think it was the best.

  35. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Mar 12, 2011 08:55 PM

[31] I looked at possibilities and when I couldn't settle on any, I took what I had to a crossword solver, which gave me just a few matches, one of which I recognized right away as a candidate for lather, rinse, repeat. Either way, I guess we got the job done. :)

  36. BurdgernaBananaburdger on Mar 12, 2011 09:02 PM

wow, didn't notice the marked spaces. Would have been SO much easier if I had noticed.

  37. Doughboy_vampireApplejonrichard300 on Mar 12, 2011 09:53 PM

[36] ya it's probably hard to spot on a black and white monitor! (lol)

  41. FileStrawberrymsdenise866 on Mar 13, 2011 11:10 AM

I believe I have all the answers and the final answer makes sense. However, Tanga keeps telling me I'm wrong... Guess I'll have to wait and see..

  42. A_place_in_the_sunPlumeireclaire on Mar 13, 2011 02:17 PM

[41] you might need to do one more step to make it fit with the puzzle

  43. AnguseyeaCarrotbamar on Mar 13, 2011 03:06 PM

    Nice!

  44. AnguseyeaCarrotbamar on Mar 13, 2011 03:07 PM

[41] You need to do to the answer what was done to the clues. Otherwise known on Tanga as rinse and repeat.
