the answer requires that you (redundantly/incorrectly???) refer to the last clue as a plural of a plural - in case that is throwing anybody off.

[12][15][19] Regarding plurals, try substituting two flowers or two hats or two apples for the items pictured above. Would you say the singular form of the nouns in those cases? I don't say "xxxx xx apple" - that's just awkward. I say "xxxx xx apples". So I think the plural form for the picture is valid.
