I had the right method but couldn't come up with the answer until after I did the hyper because I overlooked the Hershey bar. Kind of a bad night for me.

Finally got one on my own without having to search through the comments. Fun one for me. The amount of each candy is about what I would eat.

And the rest of you are a riot. I've been enjoying the comments. No offense if I take the first sentence of the third comment and the last sentence of the fifth comment over the first sentence of the fourth comment and the last sentence of the first comment - ok? :)

I have embraced my inner nerdiness and ditched scratch paper for Excel in solving these things. If only it had some lexical functions to help with the final step...

Being relatively new to Tanga, it has been hit or miss with a big learning curve. This was fun! Sonjahi, yours are always fun!!

totally stuck. makes me sad. Thought I had the solve figured out but every path I take leads me nowhere. Off to watch Jeopardy and stew.. maybe it'll come to me.. (or maybe some salt will be posted by the time I come back!)

Edit: We finally got it! had the right solve method all along, just couldn't see the word...

Finally realized I'd miscounted the number of Snickers and then I got it!

Perhaps with different candies, the order could have been determined by alphabet order of the names

[31] Oooh! That's an interesting idea. I don't know how many people would think to order them that way - in other words, people might still anagram. But it would have been an interesting way to say, "No - anagramming is not required!"

[30] Glad you got it. I was about to TG you. FYI - after 24 hours, the ability to view a solution becomes available so that's always an option. There's always folks willing to help though if you don't want to lose out on points.

[33] I did look at alphabetical order before going to the anagram : ). Didn't have a problem with anagramming, though, because the scattered candies kind of clue you in that direction.

[36] Yeah, I suppose it was the way to go... Then again, there are plenty of puzzle types OUTSIDE of Tanga where anagramming is perfectly acceptable. My Kindle has a game on it that anagramming is the whole point. It's just not a very Tanga-acceptable step. *shrug*

These are so cool. my first puzzle also, but I left computer going while I did some things around the house and mine was over and hour. lol.
