12/20th . . best/best yet. Thanks - Got my plum tonight; guess that's what it is.

Woohoo!
foundation????
[4] I think the puzzles may have posted early. The counter on the main page had about 15-20 seconds left and I clicked on Play on accident and the puzzles were there. I scrambled for 84th.
[8] The puzzles were on time for me (if anything, a few seconds past the hour). Does anyone know if the countdown is based on the Tanga server or the clock on each person's PC?
Nice puzzle!
[9]The puzzles are always late compared to the time on my pc (run about 15 seconds late).

[10] That's usually the case for me too. Normally, I watch the counter countdown, take a deep breath, pause, then click on the play link and the puzzles are there. Do it earlier, and they aren't there yet. But I would SWEAR that there was still time on the counter when the puzzles arrived this time. Maybe Randiman is right and the clock on my PC has shifted...
[12] We'll have to see tomorrow night. I wasn't really paying attention because I'm just used to waiting.
You solved this puzzle in 8 seconds and were the 476th Tanga member to solve it.
Gotta try to get here faster!

That lion is used way too often.
It would have been a bit easier to solve if I had scrolled up the screen and seen the other two pictures that go with the puzzle! As it was, I knew I was right based only on the last picture and had me cussing at the computer!
[15] Unfortunately, there aren't too many ways to clue that particular syllable.
You solved this puzzle in 55 seconds and were the 596th Tanga member to solve it.
Nice, quick, and fun. I actually came on the answer so quick that it took me a moment to realize I actually had it!
The item in the third picture is not a _____ade! It's called _____s.
The device pictured is actually called a pillory, but obviously, isn't as well known as the name used for the clue.
[20][21] Interesting research you guys embarked me on. [21] is more correct in that a pillory holds the arms and head and forces the person to stand where as ____s only use boards to hold either the arms or legs - but not the head. This one has a head hole so is more correctly described as a pillory.
That said, if you go to wikipedia for ____ade, it will say at the top "for the punishment device, go to pillory" and googling ____ade will give you pictures of a pillory so I would say many people get these terms confused.
And obviously neither Pimanee nor the moderator were intimately familiar with the distinctions in archaic punishment devices. I know I wasn't! :)
[22] Well, I didn't know the difference between a pillory and _____s. Anyway, the clue was close enough to figure out the puzzle.
