Unfortunately for me, googling that hex code (converted to decimal) with the rest of it gave me hits that made me think the color of the object in the second pic was important even though I am familiar enough with the answer to know that wasn't right. It took a minute for me to throw that out and just go with what I "knew" the answer to be.
The first clue was a bit strange but I liked it - it fits the puzzle well. And I liked the puzzle as a whole too. Nice job, aryba!
