Hate to be obnoxious -- but I got my first 1st in a long time!
Yeah that is obnoxious! Cause I got nothin' :(
I'm glad it's what I thought it was. Impressive puzzle!
A little loony, but interesting....
Very nice!
Yea, a top 20 on the crypto & a top 10 here even with a trip to google! I was wondering if a word would come out of that.
I hesitated before entering the word I got ... I guess I thought it meant something different (it's not in my daily vocabulary). Yet another great puzzle Jeb!
I got nothin
I know it is early but anyone TG me salt?
Damn. Puzzle solving rule #34: Always go with your gut.
A very nice find, jebediehard!
Oh very clever. Got on the right track pretty quickly, but still took me a bit of time to get to the answer. I liked it!
Got caught by the (intentional?) red herring with the first two pair. Oops. Realized quickly that wouldn't work.
meep!
I have been slower lately on OWWs, so I am thrilled with my 58th place.
Nice puzzle...Five minutes late and I still got a top 100!!!
I have a feeling I'll like it once I get it....
I did, but took me too long!
Another post deleted. I don't even know why I bother.
lost.
(edit)
Whew, just made it at #95. Helps when you calculate the right numbers! : /
Got the first two, read [9], and went with my gut. Worked out.
[16] As with many OWWs, a careful reading of the instructions is key.
I thought I knew what to do but hit a dead end and now im stuck again???
[21] Look at each pair, then re-read the instructions at the bottom.
[17] The following thread might give you an idea as to why some of your fellow Tanganites are finding your salt a bit too salty, especially when there are still bonus points available : ).

Ah, snap! I was solving in the wrong order and figured it out in time to get 102nd. This should have been a quickie for me.
[23] It wasn't salt, it was a comment. It wasn't meant to give away the answer.
[23] Although, ironically, I think I saw kc's comment on this thread and it didn't help me. Either that or it got deleted before I refreshed.
This was a nice puzzle even if it felt like it took months for me to solve it. I clued in immediately on what information I needed to gather and what was of interest but never thought to use the information the way it was used here. That may not make sense but to say what my problem was more clearly would be to give it all away.
[26] I think it's just the old age kicking in. ;)
Nice puzzle! When we finally came up with the letters I typed it in. Along time ago there was a super saver store in our area with that name. (This wasn't salt) 98th
I'm ready for some salt.....
It's half past and I'm only 113th? That's a good OWW average solve speed IMO.
(1 min 58 for me.)
[29] If it helps, the instructions given in the puzzle have 2 components. The first part tells you how to solve the puzzle. The second part is an alternate subtle hint at the answer. You might need to use google to get some of the relevant information. And remember, this is Tanga!
the 120th Tanga member to solve it. Had the right procedure, couldn't count tonight! Ugh! :(
I liked this one, Jeb!
If you are still lost a certain cartoon fiend can probably send you a clue via mail order.
[34] That would be dynamite!
[34] is kind of a bit too obvious. but otherwise I probably wouldn't have gotten it.
not seeing it and i guess i don't watch enough cartoons.
a tg with a pinch of salt would be greatly appreciated.
I feared that this had a huge twist and a lot of work involved. I was happy that the solution came through so readily.
This puzzle is the best.
I will have to come back later- all I have is fuzz covered with lint!
[37] The cartoon reference isn't easy to get except in retrospect. It shouldn't be a factor in solving the puzzle.
Ha... went to bed unsuccessful...cartoon reference got it for me in an instant. Feel dirty for getting it that way though. Hehe
[41] The cartoon reference was what let me solve the puzzle. I was looking at the wrong thing, but as soon as I read [34] I got it.
Finally, omg, 14+ hours. Definitely not a high point in my Tanga experience! :-)
yep, going to sleep did it! looked at my scratch pad and realized I'd had the answer before I zzzz''''''''''''''''''''''''''''d
As my kids used to say "der on a stick"[ have no idea where it came from]
Thanks jebediehard! Please keep them coming!
I still don't know where to even start :(
You solved this puzzle in 23 hours, 9 minutes and 34 seconds and were the 240th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 10 points for solving this.
[9] Yeah, Donimo... when I saw this one, I was a bit jealous. It's always great when you hit upon something like this... and then it actually pans out for you.
If I could subtract the right numbers!!!
