Also as a Florida-gal [15], this one was easy for me. I live halfway around the world now, and the time difference kept me from being an earlier solver.
Not bad at all... just goes to show that certain clues go in multiple directions... the one that just jumped out at me was on [15]'s list... just goes to show I'm a TV brat or something when my mind went that direction.. :)

Living in Michigan, I couldn't tell you the difference between the two kinds, but then I thought of "My Mama says that alligators are ornery because they got all them teeth and no toothbrush. ":). Very clever and just hard enough.
I am from Switzerland so I had no idea what the Crocodile was doing with a suitcase that has my country's flag on it.
Not hard, but Crocodile tears came to mind first, and would have made a great Crytpopix. I'm also from MI, maybe the croc was a lucky guess. So, it took a few extra seconds, but this and the crypto should have been switched.
I guess I'm the fool who still can't get it even way after the 8 second bench mark set by [22]
