This is one of 12 puzzles in the Tanga Love Bomb contest (this link will take you back to the page with all 12 puzzle links):

Cool!
Yeah, this is my favorite one of renfurdson's.
Meant the contest, but the puzzle is nice too :)
[4] LOL.
Nice puzzle!
I thought the symbols were telling me what to do with the indexed letters, so needless to say I was confused for a short bit.
I'm pretty sure I have the answers I need. I just have no idea what to do with them. Maybe it'll be obvious tomorrow.
eta: Got it. I see how it all works together now that I see the description. I was using the +/- in a much different way than they were supposed to and got way off track.
[7] It would've been *really* cool if this one coulda worked *without* the numbers. And we definitely tried making that work... but that meant using fewer clues, and having kind of a blah answer.
But you might see me try/steal that at some point down the line, with a different theme :)
The (lack of) comments here compared to the other puzzles seems to suggest this is one of the easier ones. I wish I saw it that way; it's the only one I have left!
Edit: I had the solve method and most of the answers wrong ... But I finally got it by reading the directions more carefully. Thanks to [11] for trying to help!
[10] Well, if you *are* missing it, you'd be devoid of compassion, or lacking in feeling.
This makes me start singing Paul Okenfold... Takes me back to high school ^_^
[9] I guess what I'm saying is I didn't use the symbols at all to get the answers to the clues. In retrospect I see their function and I guess I made the puzzle *harder* by not using them, but I didn't feel they were necessary.
I thought it would have been cool if the answer was arrived at the way I was trying to use them.
I didn't like this one at all. Finally got it after reading the helpful clues-- thanks!
1 star for difficulty...what am I doing wrong??
[15] You are not alone. I can't figure this one out
Any more help out there
I also didn't really use or need the symbols, knowing that there are commonalities between the correct answers is good enough, though I didn't notice that right off because of some errors.
SOLVED... 3 to go!
I know I am doing something seriously wrong because I keep coming up with a rapper's name!
Whoo hoo! I finally got it! Thanks ChrystyA [8]. This was my last one of the twelve. You solved this puzzle in 17 hours, 21 minutes and 34 seconds and were the 232nd Tanga member to solve it. Too late to be in the drawing, but too bad I won't get the Tanga badge for completing all twelve (at least the way I read the rule.. "Once you have successfully completed all of the Love-Bomb puzzles IN THE ALLOTED TIME FRAME then you are entered into a drawing. In addition to an entrance into our drawing – all users that complete the puzzlethon will receive a very rare and sought after Tanga Badge for their account page." It SEEMS to imply that both entering the drawing and completing the puzzlethon have to be done in the alloted time frame - but I'm hoping I'm wrong and can get the badge. It sure was fun, though. I wonder how many are still plodding their way through the twelve, regardless of a reward. Happy Valentines day, everyone!
