This puzzle was part of a Puzzlethon that started on Saturday night at 7PM. A new One Word Wonder was published every hour for 24 hours, and anyone who solved them all by 7PM on Sunday was entered into a drawing for a nifty prize.

I had problems with the first and last clues. My original crossword solver didn't work, but I found one that did.
Now, I am really going to bed...honestly...I won't just happen to be awake in another 50 minutes....

[21] Randi, I am definitely a night person. Though I confess, once I crossed 40 (a few years ago), it's become much easier now to go to fall asleep in front of the television :) But I still hate to go to bed before 1 or 2 AM.

I got the middle three and solved for the first and last. Everytime I looked at the first, all I could think of was 'chicken', and it blocked everything else from my head, so I stopped looking at it. As Scarlett said, "Fiddle-dee-dee, I'll think about that tomorrow!
