4th. Easier than I initially thought. (not salt)
Amazing puzzle! Really enjoyed.
Woo-hoo! That was an awesome a-ha! So glad I came over here. What does it say about a Rocketeer crypto if I solve a jebediehard OWW first? lol
Not at all what I first thought, which sidetracked me for a long while, since it also revealed three three-letter words. (Anyone focusing on the letters b, j, and u should stop).
Still, very nice puzzle.
Took me a bit, but I'm 26th. :)
One word was same as in Serbian, and that helped. (not salt)
Beautiful puzzle. Took me a while to find the 3rd, which I wouldn't need if I didn't make a stupid mistake after gotten the first two.
no idea how to solve....I see nothing MAGIC in it.... I'm stumped
NM...got it
I figured out the first two words and guessed what the final word was.
Ugh, after watching fisher prices alphabet ZOO, Its given me no help so far in this puzzle
Fun puzzle!
I've got Cow, aIR, and fLu as my words, but the puzzle doesn't work.
Got the green squares immediately. The yellow and blue took a bit longer.
[11] - you seem to have tried some different approaches than me. Nothing I am doing seems to work either. Just not able to get my aha moment.
[11] That's a "G" not a "C". And always remember to read the flavortext.
I had hog as my third word for awhile but it turned out to be a more traditional search.
At first I was vertically challenged, but then I doubled up and decided to do some diagonal parking. Searching for the right spaces took time.
Finally, I could put my affairs in order.
(Yes, this is salt about the solve method.....not some random musings.)
[14] Got it. Actually started with the right approach but couldn't get the last word. So I tried using the numbers given to index into the nth column of each row and the missing letters would fill in the answer.
Had the words. Didn't know what to do with them--thanks, [16]!
Do the colors matter?
NM Got it.
[16] Thanks that was the push/salt I needed.
[19] No....it simply denotes that each colored line is a different word
Please read my comment in [16] for more help.
Very cool puzzle. Fascinating that this arrangement of the alphabet gives the right answer.
You are a freaking idiot!! You sucked at this puzzle.
You solved this puzzle in 35 minutes and 6 seconds and were the 88th Tanga member to solve it.
ARGGH. For this my dinner is cold?!
Thanks for the salt [16]!
On the bright side this one gave me my duck. I'm not sure I would have thought to proceed along by the prescribed solve method. I just stared at the three words that I did get long enough until I saw something that I tried that happened to be the answer.
Nuts. Late again, and just missed the last bonus point. Sigh.
(Nice puzzle, as always!)
[22] I sure do enjoy your comments...
lost... I'm not seeing how [11] and [14] could have gotten those letters. This makes me think I've gone down the wrong path from the start. Can anyone give me a nudge in the right direction?
Got it now. Thanks to bitwisenot for helping me see I was going in the right direction to begin with.
My problem for several minutes, was that I wasn't always looking in a straight line. Hope that helps someone.
Huh. I managed to not get #3 and get the wrong answer for #1 and still solve the puzzle.
...had no idea what to do
...figured the answer was __ letters
...started typing random answers
...got it on the second try!
believe me, I'm more surprised than anyone... (o_0)
Using the solve method given, there is another word that can be found for the first slot that both fits the pattern and gives the correct solution. Not to be too salty, but think Cervus canadensis.
Took me about 2 minutes to solve each puzzle. Should have been here last night.
[30] Except that it doesn't quite fit the pattern (as [27] pointed out). If you go that way, then [15]'s answer works too and possibly others and then there's more than three and the puzzle becomes more ambiguous. Just keep it straight. :)
Any last minute salt?
I thought a fresh look today might help, but I'm just not seeing anything.
[33] I'll send you a TG.
[34] me too please, i'm lost.
Thanks [34]! That was fun once I got on the right track and focused on the blocks with the letters instead of the blocks at the bottom.
I'm totally confused. I don't even know where to start and I've looking at this on and off again for a couple of hours. Ugh...
okay, i'm drawing a complete blank on this... Usually with jeb's puzzles, I have an idea of where to start.. but .. I'm doing the "monkey scratches his head while he looks on dumbfounded" this time around.
Finally! I finally managed to stare at it and one word just "jumped" out at me.. and then another.. then another...
Well, 20 hours later...at least I got it. LOL
