Ug. I look at the wrong page of data every time one of these puzzles arises. Let's see if I can get it right the first time for a change...

    Edit: ... redemption! (not salt)

Oh, I like this. A bit of research (for many of us, anyway), a bit of puzzling... very cool.

I liked this one. Straight forward, just a little work.

  4. DadRaspberryjayvil on May 12, 2011 07:08 PM

Not a huge fan of straight lookups, but this one had enough behind it to make it worthwhile! Good puzzle!

#39, woohoo! First time under 50

  6. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on May 12, 2011 07:13 PM

Struggled with the hyper first, then pulled up a British list first... but finally got it. Enjoyed it too!

I've got it translated, but I'm having trouble coming up with the answer. Is it referring what that flag is called within the same system?

Hooray. Good night for me, and no computer glitches...finally. Needed to get a key to help, but I enjoyed it. Thanks.

Cool! 60th solver! Had fun and learned a little, too!

I might have solved this earlier if I had figured out what these symbols are called to Google them. I converted the puzzle to a cryptogram and solved the words, but then couldn't figure out the answer! Eked by at 87...

Finally a OWW and didn't need any salt! : )

  13. FileTomatobcgrote on May 12, 2011 07:23 PM

Fun! Hadn't seen all these flags since my brother was a Space Cadet, errr, I mean a Sea Cadet! LOL!

I had more trouble with the answer than the clue. I was thinking of the international radio alphabet and couldn't get an answer that lined up with the clue.

  15. Christopher_david_ryan_-_eyeGarlickc6201 on May 12, 2011 07:27 PM

No one willing to answer my question?

  16. Christopher_david_ryan_-_eyeGarlickc6201 on May 12, 2011 07:29 PM

[14] Guess the answer is no then? Only other avenue I can think of is what it means in racing, but I can't think of an answer for that either.

  17. Avatar_smallOnionidontkn1 on May 12, 2011 07:31 PM

[15] Yes, use the same system and what it stands for. My earlier comment [14] should point you in the right direction.

  18. Christopher_david_ryan_-_eyeGarlickc6201 on May 12, 2011 07:33 PM

[17] Now I'm confused. The system is the same as the international radio alphabet, but you said that that didn't work.

  19. Avatar_smallOnionidontkn1 on May 12, 2011 07:34 PM

    [18] I'll send you a tg.

  20. Brownie_sundaeGarlicbrownie1 on May 12, 2011 07:35 PM

    [18] Salt sent!

  21. Christopher_david_ryan_-_eyeGarlickc6201 on May 12, 2011 07:37 PM

Never mind, I got it finally. Not a good night for me, only managed to get under 100 on the crypto.

  22. Eg181208Potatotvfamily on May 12, 2011 07:43 PM

the 139th Tanga member to solve it. Got here late. An exercise in comparisons....

  23. Avatar_profileStrawberrymhoran on May 12, 2011 07:54 PM

Started solving this like a cryptogram and did not trust my instincts. I should have! I was in the right line of thought!

  24. FilePotatojunderscore on May 12, 2011 08:52 PM

You solved this puzzle in 6 minutes and 33 seconds and were the 164th Tanga member to solve it.

I liked this. I got to spend more time solving it than scratching my head.

  25. FileKiwiKharing68 on May 12, 2011 09:27 PM

Is this even possible? I can't find the word ANYWHERE. I've searched 8 times, 8 different weighs

I give up. It must exist because people got it, but I can't find it ANYWHERE!

    edit: I'm an idiot

  26. FileKiwiKharing68 on May 12, 2011 09:26 PM

You solved this puzzle in 1 hour, 3 minutes and 47 seconds

this one was fun, wish I would have shown up last night!

  29. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on May 13, 2011 12:10 PM

[26] OMG! That would have made that SO impossible! lol

I actually did that on Arnott's mother's day puzzle - I missed the last line because I was on a laptop. But for that puzzle, I was so clueless for so long that it didn't matter much that I was missing one...

Lovely puzzle. I don't mind doing a bit of googling now and again. I did get waylaid for a while in the world of racing, but soon got back on the most obvious track.
