Well it's not "potato"
lol
[1], I can always count on you to try this on all of my puzzles! : )
I gotta say I actually love the puzzles where I decode until I think I know the word and try it and it's wrong and I'm forced to get another letter or two before I can get it right.
I enjoyed this one, Al! What a great idea!
Really liked this one :) Good stuff, TangaAl!
[1] Yes, my friend!!!
Exactly where did that potato thing start, I must have missed it.
Who deleted my comment? I called bitwisenot my friend on the comment!!!
[3] Well, I figure it's worth a shot! Nice puzzle, btw. Most of the time it took me was spent deciphering tonight's crypto, which for some reason I found especially difficult.
I have really enjoyed all of the puzzles you've created with a similar theme. Thanks TangaAl.
Is anyone else really stuck? I can only think of two methods and neither of those works.
[11] I'm stuck too, but they probably won't give much salt until another 60 or so solve it.
[11] I'm right with you!!!!
[7] It started on April Fool's Day! I forgot who started the joke.................Oh, it was me!!!
[11] with you too!
Very clever!
Salt would be nice... please!
I'm stuck...any significance in the different shades of color on the frame?
I have had no problems with the other puzzles on this theme by TangaAl, but this one stumps me so far.
[1] Yes, my friend!!
Let's see if it deletes this time!! [19]
OKAY--The spam filter is deleting Yes, M? FRIEN?
I don't have a clue....don't know how to get started on this....?
[17] - no. Just the title and words are important.
[4], [5], [9], [10], [15] - thanks for the compliments!
[18] - don't give up. : )
I give up. Tried everything with prime numbers I can think of.
Give me salt PLEASE
Need salt even if we haven't reached 100 come on people.
[23] I tried those too. Can't apply it to words like could with the "median" and "mode" puzzles.
Woohoo late to the game and still show. Yeah for TangaAI puzzles.
[23],[26] and the numbers "past" the prime numbers but no joy...
There are two important words in the title. Start with the latter. Make a list of numbers. What can you do with a list of numbers?
No sooner than I said you can't apply primes to the words, I found that you can. Yay, 71st.
[29] still no joy, but thanks for the effort
Difficult, but a great aha moment.
[29] thanks, I was totally stuck and that was all the salt I needed. Nicely clued, once I got it...
You solved this puzzle in 54 minutes and 13 seconds and were the 79th Tanga member to solve it.
I actually did something similar about 15 minutes ago, but I didn't take it to the next step.
You solved this puzzle in 9 minutes and 48 seconds and were the 80th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 31 points for solving this. Awesome! Got here almost an hour late and still made the top 100. Great puzzle TangaAl!
Guess I'm past my prime. Too many options for applying [29] and none seem to yield anything for me.
Finally.....that was painful.
Thanks [37]. And [29].
I agree that the solve method was clever, but there were so many other ways to try and take this given the clue that I can't say I had much fun.
Thanks [37]. You must be a woman since your help got me to a 91st finish.
Just out of bonus points. Had I not been out having a life tonight I would have been all over this one.
You solved this puzzle in 15 minutes and 38 seconds and were the 100th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 11 points
Thanks to [29] and [37] for the salt and the help in getting me my first one in the 100. Never expected to make it considering when I usually do these. :D
TangaAl, great puzzle. I love brain busters and you have been making me work overtime to keep up. *thumbs up*
Thanks [37]! Had tried prime and past prime on everything (so I thought) till you shared that. Whew!
I would love to know how many people got this via the posted solve method.
(I used brute force.)
Good one TangaAl.
[44] I did. I'm impressed that the nine words in the puzzle achieve full coverage of the group.
[44] I'm not sure about what your brute force was, but I didn't do it as the solution stated either. I checked each letter in each word as I went, which feels kind of brutish in retrospect.
It's so much fun showing up to people thanking a comment that's been deleted. :P
[44] I did as the solution till the fourth letter and then figured out the word. Unfortunalely a day late.
:You solved this puzzle in 2 minutes and 27 seconds and were the 142nd Tanga member to solve it. You earned 10 points for solving this.
Power outage due to Irene prevented me come on time :(
You solved this puzzle in 22 hours, 43 minutes and 45 seconds and were the 152nd Tanga member to solve it.
Sat down the next day and got it (and my potato) right away.
Can anyone give me salt? 45 min to go.
TG me if so. I can at least get 10 points.
[52] tg sent. Just saw it so not much time.
