I was stuck until I started saying the top line out loud a few times. That's what gave it to me.:-) Very nice puzzle, and I, also, am glad that it was something that didn't require a google search to figure out!

[12] ?? Don't catch what you are referring to. To be clear, I didn't dislike it. I think it contributed to my struggle but I shouldn't have struggled as long as I did. It's quite a bit off but I think the cluing for all the rest of it was so nice and the a-ha was great and to have clued the proper phonetic would have been awkward and would have detracted from the overall quality of the puzzle, I think.
It seems to be pretty obvious what the puzzle is...but it isn't accepting my answer...I even tried to use the European way to spell the last word and still nothing..I'm at a loss...I don't see any other obvious answer..sigh
The only part I know for sure is the bottom line. The top line I think I have the first clue, the second I sorta kinda but not really know and the last just throws the whole thing off.
