Stop this merry-go-round! I want to get off! (not salt)
This thing is going by so fast, it's hard to study.
Fun idea. I did screen captures and used MSPaint. Getting the timing was tricky.
[2] thank you...that solved it for me.
[2] You can also just download the .gif file and manipulate it that way.
[2] I did that too. It took a while but it was fun!
Really fun puzzle! As with every Saturday, there is at least one puzzle that should not be in the Unfeatured set. This is the one for this week. Thanks, TheOneEye.
Good gracious. A puzzle?
have to get back to this when I have more time. good thing I'm not epileptic. :)
Getting nothing but some flashing blue boxes.
alot of work for 3 points...
Even the screen capture version of this is driving me blind. Stumped me OneEye!
Edit: Got it now. Thank you [13]. It didn't help that I had 2 of the screen shots in the wrong order, lol!
Got it by looking at one piece at a time. Not as hard as I thought it would be.
SALT: Ever wonder how those old dot matrix printers work? This puzzle is very much like it.
Another example is those skywriting planes flying in parallel....however they go from left to right, and this puzzle goes from the top down.
[13] Figured that, but since I don't know how to do screen capture or any other way to slow it down, I would guess this will be one to continually stump me.
I've got the frames but I can't figure out the grid. I can't assume 7x7. Seems like 9x7 or 10x7?
I'm stumped. Got the screen captures and pen & paper.
I'm just lost.
edit: okay, with the captures and some printer ink I figured it out although it was upside down, backwards, and inside out, sorta. No wonder I couldn't do it in my head. (as if)
Lots of work, tough one, I agree this shoulda been a featured one.
Don't know how to use MSP paint, screen captures, or a .gif download. Maybe someone should post a tutorial under general discussion for those of us technically challenged. Sonjahi? Arnott? Bitwisenot?
[2], [14], [16]··· before i saw 2's comment, i printed each flash (ctrl-alt-p) at the time of the flash and then lined them up on paper printouts.....waste of paper but a "poormans" ms paint alternative........
[13] confirmed my suspicions, then [4] got me thinking- "download the .gif file and manipulate it".
This is what I did- tutorial for the "technically challenged", by the technically challenged:
Download the .gif = Right click on image and select Save Image As; save it wherever, it will then Download.
Open (default is Windows Picture and Fax Viewer), right click on image, select Open in QuickTime Player. Use your cursor to advance play in steps and you can see all the pieces in order.
well dang..I'm 83rd 2 days later?
You solved this puzzle in 14 minutes and 59 seconds and were the 86th Tanga member to solve it.
Plenty of work for 3 points. Plenty fun too!
Hmm... I think I liked this. I didn't have a clue what to do at first so blew it off. Then a friend that solved it basically said what to do. At that point, it wouldn't have been much of a puzzle to look at the .gif file and manipulate it. So I took the time to watch it as it went by and figure out what each spot was without any tools at all. I made several mistakes along the way but finally got it. I particularly enjoyed watching the next to last letter unfold.
