We've think we've got all but the first, and a prospective solve method. Any salt on the first one? Seems a little generic.
EDIT: Never mind. Thought of it right after I posted, and barely made the top ten.

Got in 9th, after rearranging some of my scraps to shake a word out.
14th. Now back to the darned "warmup"... grrr.
I got it from the last two ... still don't know what to make of the first two clues. [3] is right, it's not obvious ... I spent some time barking up the wrong tree.
OK, but the third one actually caused me problems.
I'm pretty sure I have the right bits; arranged and re-arranged, but can't make anything of them.

Yeah got nothing. Second and last don't make sense really. Or I've got them right and just can't see the next step.

My parents used to own the #3 clue (Red one, with a Brogue). Absolutely stupid. Ran into a truck while chasing a butterfly. The guy got out and said "I didn't hit him! I didn't hit him!" We'd seen the whole thing, so we knew what had happened.

[14] Yeah, at first I was going with Rotts, and couldn't make them work. Finally figured out the right one.
I am not sure about the third
I've done the thing with the canines, but I'm at a lost
also I'm not certain I completely have the second right as it was a stretch to find the dog.

OMG I'm an idiot. I see it now.
Well, I got it, but I guess I'll have to see the solve how the last one fits the same pattern as the first three - I found the cat, but it wasn't straight.
I got it, but I have no idea why.
I also had a problem with the letters in #3. Crafty puzzle though.
