LOL!
Love the last pic. I'm stuck wondering if it is, in reality, exactly what it appears to be.
That 2nd picture has me stumped. I know of many words for it but nothing seems to fit. The rest is easy.
[4] Try Googling "communion wafer is called" - that's what worked for me. It's 4 letters long.
Yeah, got it. That was a new one on me.
lovely final clue !
That final clue is familiar -- I used it in a puzzle once!
Very creative, but I thought the second pictures was extremely misleading. I have never heard that term in my life. That being said, I LOVED the last picture! Who knew such a thing existed?!
Thanks Sonjahi
[9] DOES such a thing exist?
Last clue was priceless. Thanks to [5] for the hint ... I was going down the "waiver" alley, which was getting me nowhere.
Beware of cut-and-paste, as that may yield something that is not accepted as the answer.
Diacritic handling needs some work.
[9][11] Of course it does.
That said... that wouldn't have been the clue I would have used. But it's totally fair.
For the 2nd picture -- maybe it is a cultural thing. I'm not particularly Catholic, but I knew what it was called. I know the wanted term is used in Quebec. (I had both the correct term and wafer as options in my sentence, until it resolved.)
The last image... though... wow. Who'd have thought that existed!
This was more like a two word wonder. imo
[11] The source pic appears to be from Thailand, based on a Google Image Search.
[17] Thanks--good to know!
[16] Plenty of OWWs give clues that then want someone's name. It's always the last name, unless indicated otherwise.
Every Catholic knows what the second picture is. There's only one word for it.
[20] Coo-kie?
[5] Thanks for the clue! Never knew. And I have never seen the show. TY Google co.
[20] Jeez-it?
Ditto [15], with a LOL at "not particularly Catholic." I'm not Catholic, either, but I've attended enough masses to know what it's called. I thought #2 was perfectly fair as a clue. Much easier and clearer than some other use might have been. (Party? Parasite?)
[13] How so? Did it not take the answer with the diacritic? It accepted the version without.
Is there an alternative spelling on this? I know I've got it right, but it's not taking it! Diacritic or not.
Foiled by the á
Got this one by Googling the six words I could definitely come up with from the clues and reached the answer that way. Got sidetracked initially by focusing on the thing on the animal's head. Anyway, for me it's always nice to be able to get an OWW, even if it takes me 4 minutes to do so. lol
[26] Are you trying to enter the whole name? It's a One Word Wonder, so you need to use just one word - in this case, it's the last name.
Ah, duh! Thank you [29]
Put in Her full name (first and last) and was told it was wrong. Even the second clue used Cat. A little misleading.
