    LOL!

Love the last pic. I'm stuck wondering if it is, in reality, exactly what it appears to be.

  4. FileGarlick1w1 on Feb 07, 2012 07:19 PM

That 2nd picture has me stumped. I know of many words for it but nothing seems to fit. The rest is easy.

[4] Try Googling "communion wafer is called" - that's what worked for me. It's 4 letters long.

  6. FileGarlick1w1 on Feb 07, 2012 07:21 PM

Yeah, got it. That was a new one on me.

    lovely final clue !

  8. Phi3CornPhilana on Feb 07, 2012 07:28 PM

That final clue is familiar -- I used it in a puzzle once!

  9. FilePlumMCGBishop on Feb 07, 2012 07:29 PM

Very creative, but I thought the second pictures was extremely misleading. I have never heard that term in my life. That being said, I LOVED the last picture! Who knew such a thing existed?!

  10. FilePotatoGinnyjulie on Feb 07, 2012 07:29 PM

    Thanks Sonjahi

  11. FileRadishdecofloorlamp on Feb 07, 2012 07:31 PM

[9] DOES such a thing exist?

  12. FileSailboatmbumby on Feb 07, 2012 07:33 PM

Last clue was priceless. Thanks to [5] for the hint ... I was going down the "waiver" alley, which was getting me nowhere.

Beware of cut-and-paste, as that may yield something that is not accepted as the answer.

  13. FileDuckieRussellWilliams on Feb 07, 2012 07:41 PM

    Diacritic handling needs some work.

  14. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Feb 07, 2012 07:42 PM

    [9][11] Of course it does.

That said... that wouldn't have been the clue I would have used. But it's totally fair.

  15. FileSailboatdagibbs on Feb 07, 2012 07:47 PM

For the 2nd picture -- maybe it is a cultural thing. I'm not particularly Catholic, but I knew what it was called. I know the wanted term is used in Quebec. (I had both the correct term and wafer as options in my sentence, until it resolved.)

The last image... though... wow. Who'd have thought that existed!

  16. FilePlumpaleblueeyes24 on Feb 07, 2012 07:49 PM

This was more like a two word wonder. imo

  17. FileOnionjaymanmsu on Feb 07, 2012 08:15 PM

[11] The source pic appears to be from Thailand, based on a Google Image Search.

  18. FileRadishdecofloorlamp on Feb 07, 2012 09:00 PM

    [17] Thanks--good to know!

  19. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Feb 07, 2012 09:11 PM

[16] Plenty of OWWs give clues that then want someone's name. It's always the last name, unless indicated otherwise.

  20. FileGarlicsorter on Feb 07, 2012 09:36 PM

Every Catholic knows what the second picture is. There's only one word for it.

  21. FilePotatojmsmith2434 on Feb 07, 2012 09:56 PM

    [20] Coo-kie?

  22. Avatar_959_jpg100_200x200RaspberryRocketeer on Feb 07, 2012 11:07 PM

[5] Thanks for the clue! Never knew. And I have never seen the show. TY Google co.

  23. FileCarrotamaguriken on Feb 07, 2012 11:23 PM

    [20] Jeez-it?

  24. FileAppleCandaceO on Feb 08, 2012 08:24 AM

Ditto [15], with a LOL at "not particularly Catholic." I'm not Catholic, either, but I've attended enough masses to know what it's called. I thought #2 was perfectly fair as a clue. Much easier and clearer than some other use might have been. (Party? Parasite?)

  25. FileAppleCandaceO on Feb 08, 2012 08:27 AM

[13] How so? Did it not take the answer with the diacritic? It accepted the version without.

  26. Avatar_profileGrapesjlzstum on Feb 08, 2012 08:58 AM

Is there an alternative spelling on this? I know I've got it right, but it's not taking it! Diacritic or not.

  27. Tpb2Peachsubpeaksurfer on Feb 08, 2012 09:18 AM

    Foiled by the á

  28. FilePlumdramafan on Feb 08, 2012 09:47 AM

Got this one by Googling the six words I could definitely come up with from the clues and reached the answer that way. Got sidetracked initially by focusing on the thing on the animal's head. Anyway, for me it's always nice to be able to get an OWW, even if it takes me 4 minutes to do so. lol

  29. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Feb 08, 2012 10:21 AM

[26] Are you trying to enter the whole name? It's a One Word Wonder, so you need to use just one word - in this case, it's the last name.

  30. Avatar_profileGrapesjlzstum on Feb 08, 2012 11:04 AM

    Ah, duh! Thank you [29]

  31. Avatar_profileWatermelonJacopo_1 on Feb 12, 2012 07:00 AM

Put in Her full name (first and last) and was told it was wrong. Even the second clue used Cat. A little misleading.
