Are II and III messed up? It looks like II has six blanks in the paragraph but four in the bottom, while III has four in the paragraph but six in the bottom.
I, IV and V have the same number of blanks in both places.
wholly crap... I have the method but I have no clue how to fill in the blanks. I loved MadLibs as a child but I never knew how to fill in answers that actually meant something. It amazes me the thing that people can come up with.
ok.. post and solve... never did get the first two but I got enough to fill in the rest. crazy.

[1] It's a two stage puzzle.
Nice evening - three in the top 10. Whee!

[1] no, they aren't messed up. I have the method, but am missing a couple answers. Not enough info for a crossword solver yet.

I liked it! I got one of the "blank" words wrong, but was still able to guess the answer with what I had.
Solved all four tonight with two in the top ten, probably my best ever! (But I'm not foolish enough to expect a repeat of that any time soon.)

got it! a few had multiple choices- for example IV is NOT sheep. (yes, I know this is salt, but if a wrong answer can help... ;-)

[10] I struggled with some of those too. Fortunately, it is solvable from a couple of certain ones.
[10][11] nope, that one is more generic

well, I got by with a little help from my cohorts and count myself - barely - among good company for this one...

For clue one, I would have suggested otters, if it had fit that is. The mad lib would make more sense though.
