Hmmm..I think I have everything, it spells something I recognize, but that is not the right answer.

[1] There is a theme, apply it.

I think I'm in the same boat. Actually, I could see two slightly different answers, but I tried both of them, and neither one worked.

Do you think it's correct to have to go into the last name for the bottom right?

[1] What you have isn't the answer, but the answer is what you have.

    [3] yes

[3] That is what I did. But I still haven't applied the theme, I guess.

edit: NM - post then solve. Was not paying attention to the correct theme to apply!

    That's a pretty weak "theme"...

[6] Think of it as a commonality then. :)

Actually if you Google the proposed words in the answer you do not get the answer. At least mine doesn't even have it in the first 100.

I thought a better answer would be Animal - the drummer.

    ah, there it is

didn't get the commonality...just started guessing...then when saw answer, gave myself a forehead slap - I had used the commonality to verify some of the characters...
nice puzzle - and the characters weren't obscure like other puzzles where you don't know where to start

[8] Ok, at the time that I created the puzzle, the suggested google phrase (in quotes) got you want you needed.
And, yes [6] it's not so much a theme as a commonality (as [7] pointed out.
And, [11] that was exactly the kind of effect I was expecting. Glad you liked it.

    Oh, and [9] ANIMAAAAAAL!!!! :)

  14. AssetsTomatobcgrote on Jun 16, 2008 07:36 PM

This didn't tickle me as much as [9] does!

I have the characters and the word but I don't get the theme. Does this mean I'm too old for these characters? (Except for the Pez guy...)

  16. AssetsPepperTahnan on Jun 18, 2008 12:18 AM

Good Lord that commonality was tenuous.

  17. AssetsTomatodduensing on Jun 02, 2010 07:43 AM

    weak commonality....salt: RED
(it is weak because the ninja turtle is mostly green with a small red sweatband)

do the tanga step first, then use the commonality above to find a character that fits both.
