I see the words, just don't know which way to turn to look back.
Edit: Making it way too hard. Just like Spock says: When all other possibilities have been eliminated...
Loved it, and didn't even need a grain of salt.
[1] I don't get it either. Onto WITW, I guess.
[1], got me..i just see one word..
[1] I was right there with you (actually, I only had 4 of them at the time). Then suddenly I saw the one I was missing and then it was just a matter of cleaning up.
That was tasty! I haven't seen some of those types in years.
Got all 5 right away. Just not sure what to make of the "then look back."
Edit:Got it: I should have been faster at that!
Any salt on what "look back" means?
wow 20 minutes in and still got 66th...Not that hard once you figure out what its looking for. Fun
[3] Yup I totally abandoned this one for WitW.
Nice!
Got it with help, otherwise, meh....
Didn't care for this one.
[8] Well, if you look forward, you tend to go left to right, top to bottom, correct?
Just so close, just so far. Got words, got hints, got nothing.
A little ham-handed
[14] How is that supposed to help me if I don't know what method to use? Tried assigning letters to each of the boxes, using the cereal names in different ways... So I guess there really isn't a clue to the method in the puzzle anywhere?
When I refreshed the first time, it said:
Refreshing......there are no comments on this puzzle.
I don't even understand what words we're supposed to find. I see the word "cereal" more than 5 times
I guess I'll check back tomorrow. Somebody TG me some more help, please.
[17] I'm sorry - I assumed that since you were asking about the "look back" portion, that you had already completed step 1, which was to find 5 words. Once you've unlocked that step, my instructions would (hopefully) make more sense. You need to figure out how to turn those cereal boxes into a standard word search.
[19] That's a dead end. I went there first. Since we are over 100 solves, I'll say that you are only going to pay attention to 1 letter from each box.
That was a fun one! Thanks!
[21] I thought I did the first step, but I guess I did it wrong. I found the word "cereal" 5 times. I guess I'll look at it again tomorrow since I feel burned out on it now. I don't have a clue as to which letter we're supposed to pay attention to.
[24] I'm with you. I found the 5 then I got stumped.
Since it looks like people are still struggling, use the first word in each box to create a word search. From there, it's pretty straight forward, but feel free to tg me if you need more salt on your cereal.
Pretty striaghtforward once you get the solve method...loved the backwards twist on the end. very traditional puzzle solving method IMO once you find "cereal".
[7] Nice Monkey!
I think [26] meant to say the first letter, not the first word. And it's the first letter of the cereal name, not necessarily the first letter on the box.
The word "cereal" appearing to show up 5 times was an unfortunate red herring. It actually looks like it appears 6 times if you count "cereales" on the Nesquik box. The ones on the Cap'n Crunch and Ice Cream boxes are very hard to see but you can just make them out. They are so hard to see that I should have known that couldn't be what we were supposed to do. But to find 5 is to put people on a dead end road that's hard to move away from.
[29], thanks for clearing that one up. It's funny how these pesky red herrings show up sometimes. Had I thought about that, I would have tried to tailor this red herring to spell out a real word, like FALSE or WRONG. : )
If anyone is still trying to get this feel free to TG me.
I got thrown off for a long while by "one of these things is not like the others." I finally decided to pull forward with that one and it worked, but it felt a little clunky to me.
Boy that look back part has gotten me...
[32] You don't use the items from the first step when you look back.
[33] That was what did it! Thanks!
The odd thing is that most of the step-one cereal words have nothing to do with the answer.
No wonder it took me so long to get this one... I'm allergic to this puzzle!
very good, look back!
