I had no idea what the name of that game was. Had to Google board game black and white pieces.

I like that one a lot. Good clueing fun all the way there.
[3] The exact game was used in another crypto a little while back and that's when I first learned about the game and then they talked about it on an episode of Criminal Minds like the next week.
[7] Me too. I didn't know the name of the game, but learned it through its usage in puzzles here. So the name of the game didn't STOP me from solving subsequent puzzles.
For a split second I was hoping for a puzzle that started with "Othello".

[10] Not sure if you are joking or not, but from what I can tell, you've got the names of the game, actress, and car wrong, at minimum.
Plus, it's usually considered bad form to post what you think it's not since that often gives away much more information than you think. (In other words, you should probably edit your post).
