Any one got some sprinkles of salt??

[1] The text explicitly specifies the three steps needed. The trick is figuring out what to use for the addition step.

It's 9 hours later. This puzzle only has 20 solves. And there's only 2 comments?!? Where's the chatter? Where's the salt? Where's the beef? (Oh, sorry, got carried away. LOL)

[3] The instructions are there, except for knowing about how to tanga (and more importantly, how to do the reverse tanga)

Get out your calculators and some paper for this puzzle....you're gonna need it!

Nice, but I suxxor at teh maths! (I always get back more from IRS because they check my math - even with a calculator I get it wrong!)

I thought the spelling referred to writing the numbers out, but now I'm thinking I'm supposed to tanga first. Can't make sense out of it either way. Help by TG would be appreciated. Only 30 solves though, so more salt in the comments would be good too.

[6] Get out a sheet of paper and spell the numbers out first...like the directions say

After you finish that, you'll need to figure out how to get numbers from those letters so that you can add (and later subtract).

[7] Thanks. Turns out it's not an either/or with what I was trying. The method is rather tedious, so luckily I guessed correctly after doing the first three.

    Bad puzzle.

This was a bit tedious. The difficulty I found was that there really wasn't much of an intermediary state that produced something to let the solver know that they are on the right track. So a solver has to pretty much keep plugging along the correct solve method to the end. That makes it tough to know if you're even on the right solve method.
