BACON!

As we have discussed, and shown, it can be universally enjoyed in a wide variety of unconventional ways:
It's good "Oven Fried".
It can be "Candied".
It's one of the many things that goes good with beer (as both are very complementary to breakfast).


... But, since our conversations, I have had more discussions about the wondrous multitudes of miraculous explorations and revelations in the mind-boggling varieties of bacon enjoyment. For instance:

There is the Bacon Martini.

My God! The hubris of Man! In all his hedonistic glory and aspirations: he dares, time and time again, to tempt the Gods and Fate! As in the tale of Icarus, as with The Tower of Babel, and as with Bellerophon & the Pegasus; Man shall aspire to heights beyond Wisdom and seek to span chasms beyond Good Sense ... and God bless us for it, because, every now and then, some lucky bastard pulls it off!



Like Beer, though it may not be proof of the existence of God (which would again demonstrate the Babel Fish paradox: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fideism#In_culture, http://www.whysanity.net/monos/hikers.html), Bacon is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

I don't know if it was the craziest $8 I've ever spent, or the stupidest! It wasn't bad. It was ok. It was actually a good blend of flavors. I'm not going to pay $8 for one again, but it was interesting. There should be a law against selling outrageous things at outrageous prices in liquor stores ... on "sample" days.

[2] I've had the chocolate dipped bacon pictured on the Wiki page you linked (at the MN state fair). It was pretty good.

Edit: Yesterday I tried the bacon chocolate bar linked to. I thought it was quite good; much better than expected.
