My mistake, but I thought the luminoodle could be charged and then used "as is." I had to buy a box charger gizmo to go with each one. That changes the $$ value for me. I wouldn't have spent that much on this, but now I have and I am not returning them, and I expect it will all work out.

I watched a video of this product after a long day and while a bit weary. What made me make the purchase was when I saw the dog wearing the luminoodle. I have searched through many, many products to use with a dog that were both waterproof and long lasting. I bought the luminoodle because of the dog. What I didn't realize until I actually received the product, was that it has NO ON/OFF switch and it has to be plugged in to a power source. This is so NOT workable for a 90lb dog who runs wide open at the beach at night and needs to be seen. Now, for camping and any other place where I also have pockets (again for the power source), I can see this being a fantastic tool. The lights are bright and the package will hang for lantern use. But, if I'm camping, I still need a computer or electricity or some rechargable battery source to EVEN use this cool gadget. Same goes for my Harley shed that isn't yet wired for electricity...gotta have something electric or storable electricity to use it. If you are like me and didn't read the product details, maybe purchased while too tired to focus; then maybe you'll read this review. Either way, enjoy it for what it is.

I bought this for burning man and didn’t end up using it. It wasn’t really practical. But it does emit quite a bit of light.

Light works good and the magnets are strong which is very useful. The advertising is a bit sneaky being that it has no power source included. I've never seen a flashlight without a source of power but I guess it's how it goes.

Loved this product when it arrived. Looks neat, lightweight and worked well. Battery pack now stopped working. Used 1/2 dozen times. Would like to know if it’s return or replaceable.

Bright, lightweight, but not versatile without battery pack. Read carefully without the battery pack you need power source. So on this camping trip the lights are in the bag they came in.

While the Luminoodle is a very cool thing by itself it should be known you need a power supply for it. I was greatly disappointed when I recieved the luminoodle and there was no power supply with it. You need a USB power cell to make this thing work. Luckly I have a few around and didn't have to buy somehting else but this should be made more prevelant in the advertising for this so other people will know.

Much brighter light than pictured. It is not the same, soft yellow light in the photo. It's a bright white light. Would have preferred less bright for it's intended purpose. Works well, however. Would not purchase again.

I would add more stars if the light strings could be plugged into each other to make them longer. Good quality, and the model that includes a rechargable USB battery pack adds functionality, but they really need to be able to plug into each other to extend their reach.

I like the diffusive stuff sack a lot, it would be nice separately. I'm not totally pleased with the varied color temperature of the LEDs, most are bright yet some are warmer. I like the idea, and maybe there's some explanation for the variation in color I was seeing. Maybe one day they will sell a bright version (above 5000 K) and a warm version (below 3000 K) so you could choose.
