I gotta say I was pretty excited about adding this to my camping and backpacking gear list. Not to mention being able to use it around the house. This would have received a five star review but the remote wouldn’t pair after the first time using it last weekend. This Is super disappointing and limits my ability to use the product. It would have been a great product. Color options are a great addition for when you don’t want a super bright white light. I might give a second one a try and see how if does any better.

Terrible I do NOT recommend. The photos and description are deceiving. These are not WARM color temp. They are a cool blueish white light. They ruin the mood while camping and compete with the fire light. Please see my photos comparing the color of the light to my gas powered lantern. I contacted the company about it over a week ago. Still haven't recvd a response. I was charged a restocking fee for returning. Also the switch on the battery pack is bad. Very hard to move and switch between settings. To turn off the lights you have to put the switch in the middle position. It's a pain to do this when the switch is so small and hard to move.

I use this string along w/ a couple others for accent lighting. That is I have three of these color strings and two other types by Power Practicle. First I was surprised at how fast it used a battery pack up last night. I checked the level on the battery after I turned the string off, then this morning the battery was totally drained. Also after about one month use I already have a problem w/ one color. One of my older color strings (this model) did not even last one year; several colors quit working and that too consumed more power than it should. I will no longer buy these lights from Power Practicle; they just don’t last.

Old review: Very bright. Almost TOO many options to play with. Kids loved it. Much better than others I've bought online. New review: Uh oh... the lights have started flashing by themselves, even when they are set to solid unchanging color/brightness. I had them set to dim solid red, and leave them as night lights in the kids room. A few minutes after putting them to bed, they started flashing super bright white. One flash every few minutes. It woke the kids up, who came out of their room very upset (they're young). I tried different battery packs, and found that had an effect. The worst one was the AmazonBasics branded one!! I cannot find a battery pack that does not cause this issue. I contacted the seller, but didn't receive any reply even after a week. So... I'm returning them and changing my review to 1 star.

The remote that was supposed to be included was not in the package. Contacted manufacturer's support via email. Still haven't heard back. Returning the product. From the inline switch on the device it seemed like this would be a pretty nice product, and exactly what I was looking for, but I haven't been able to fully utilize its features due to the missing remote.

I loved this think when I first got it. It's a great idea, and I love the magnetic attachments and the noodle ties. However, mine lasted about a year and then mysteriously just stopped after the warranty time expired. I'd like to give it more stars but to only have it for a year then beciome garbage is unacceptable. I hate waste and garbage and try to buy quality products so I can buy fewer things and minimize the things I have to throw out. I can't reccomend a luminoodle based on its durability.

WOW! I was so excited for these to come so I could use them hammock camping. Right out of the box the lights (Power Practical Luminoodle Color - 5 ft Color Changing LED String Lights) look and feel pretty good until you go and plug them into a battery bank, this is were things get bad... First off, you plug it in and the lights go on. In your head you're like "YES, this is awesome!" then you dim the lights and suddenly major disappointment, you hear this very high pitch beeping or almost scream like sound coming from somewhere. It's the lights. It's where they plug into the battery. So basically when you use almost all other modes and colors and dimming in general the battery starts to produce this sound in different frequencies, some louder, some no so loud, horrible either way you look at it. You can't be expected to use these out in the wilderness where it's all quiet and all you hear is this crazy sound all night. I slapped a USB energy reader on it and it looks like the lights use over 5v in these other modes and seems to cause this sound/sounds. The volts range from 5.0v to 5.11v. In my findings the sound is produced because the voltage is too high, the sound is always produced when the volts are over 5.0v. The remote with the lights worked fine for the first 5 minutes out of box then suddenly stopped working entirely however, you do see the light on the remote flash when buttons are pressed so I'm not sure what's up with that. Lastly, I saw on some other reviews that said you can't leave these plugged into a battery bank because the lights will drain them. Well, sure enough testing this out with the USB energy tester with the lights OFF they still draw power from the battery. These lights WILL drain your battery if you leave them plugged in all the time. So, indeed these lights are riddled with issues, which is most unfortunate. I really really really wanted these lights to be AWESOME but alas they are horrible (garbage). I would NOT recommend these to anyone unless they got a complete overhaul. Fingers crossed for an updated version. 100% sending these back. Do not purchase!
