This is a very good micellar water. It is far better than the Garnier I tried (which is oily) and nearly identical to the one by Simple. I did not give it 5 stars only because the reputation of this product tends to precede it and to read beauty blogs and other posts about this, and its status as a Holy Grail of beauty products you might think this is the cure to cancer! It is an excellent makeup remover and cleanser but equally as good as many other micellar waters on the market. Nothing more and certainly nothing less. Will I purchase again? Yes, although I may look for another equally good micellar that is less expensive.

I first heard of Bioderma just after returning from a trip to France, and oh how I wish I had known about it while I was there so I could have stocked up! I had been using Neutrogena's oil-free eye makeup remover for a while and wasn't satisfied with the number of cotton pads I had to use, the amount of product I had to pour, or the amount of makeup it actually removed. It also left a greasy, oily film on my eyes that I didn't care for at all. Bioderma feels like you're just using water, with no greasy residue. I don't remove my contacts before taking off my eyeliner/mascara, because I'm blind as a bat without my contacts on, and using Bioderma doesn't irritate my eyes at all. It's the best product I've come across for makeup removal, though it does have a tougher time with waterproof mascara.

I'm lazy. After a long day there's nothing I hate more than having to stand over a sink and go through the motions of washing my makeup off. Enter Bioderna. This stuff takes off foundation, eye makeup, lipstick, everything. The best part? You really don't have to rinse it. I will say that waterproof mascara has been more difficult to remove. Otherwise, Bioderma does pretty well. After using this product my face feels and looks clean(er). I'll admit, this isn't a substitute for washing your face but for the occasional night that you just want to take your face off and crash, this stuff is superb. Side note - I ordered mine on Amazon and I'm pretty certain it's the real deal. I would double check the seller you're purchasing from and check our their merchant reviews before placing your order.

Started using Micellar Water 4 months ago. I bought a bottle the CeraVe at Target. Started seeing the Bioderma all over the internet with people raving about it, so I ordered some. It's nice and cleans my face (after I use a cleansing balm and water rinse), but it is not as moisturizing as the CeraVe. As I age (55 years old), I find I need more moisturizing products. I will use up this bottle, but then back to CeraVe I go. The price between the two was comparable. Each were about a dollar an ounce.

I’ve used many of these kinds of products. There’s some out there that are a little bit better because of the moisturizing qualities. This is a close second but it is also a really great value. I probably won’t buy it again but it was OK In a pinch.

I do not feel that it easily removes eye makeup as others have stated. And it burns my eyes too

This removes makeup effectively. I was using pre-moistened makeup removers and not happy with any that I had tried. So I ordered the travel size of this product to try. It is much more effective in makeup removal versus any brand of pre-moistened wipes I've tried. And it does leave my skin smooth without any stickiness. My only "complaint", is that despite it is a gentle product, if you have very sensitive skin or if you wear heavy makeup, and you need to go over your face multiple times with cotton pads saturated with this, you may find that your skin will be a bit irritated. That's not the fault of this product, but rather inevitable result of using a wiping process to remove makeup. At the end of the day, a cream or lotion makeup remover that results in less friction and pull on your face is still the better bet.

I have sensitive skin and I haven’t had reaction. However it’s not moisturizing as much. I still don’t recommend on daily use on the face I still seem to get dry skin from it if used often. I do think it’s better than most other products over the counter if you’re not looking to spend a lot of money.
