The rich colors, use of light and meticulous detail of each artwork offer viewers a great deal of insight into the world of Sam Timm. As a dedicated minister, father, husband and outdoorsman, his life experiences provide him with a wealth of inspiration from which to paint. That inspiration coupled with fond memories of his childhood in Wisconsin appear in the serene images for which Timm has become well-known. In addition to several honors in the area of conservation art, Timm was selected as the Wisconsin Wildlife Artist of the Year when his painting “Old Farm Mascots – Black-capped Chickadees” was selected unanimously from a field of 89 entries. His limited edition prints are sold successfully throughout the United States making him one of the most recognized artists of the genre. Sam Timm credits his success to a strong faith, a supportive family and a sincere love of the outdoors.
