I thought I read that it was compatible with other 20v. batteries; so I purchased on that note, because I have many B&D batteries. It has a different connector from B&D units. Have to wait to charge-up now ...not too happy with this; just for that reason. Works fine for smaller weeds and not too heavy to carry
