This pendant has traditional images of Confirmation: the dove (Holy Spirit) descending, symbolizing, in part, that the life of the person being confirmed will be infused with the blessings of Christ and the Church. Symbols of the Eucharist, cup and Host, are also on the front. On the back are the words, “Peace be with you,” which are said by the Bishop to the newly confirmed person near the end of the Confirmation Mass. The blessing of peace is meant not just for the moment of Confirmation, but to carry into the newly confirmed person’s entire life. Peace be with you. The medal measures 1 inch tall, 5/8 of an inch wide. The bail will fit a pendant up to 3mm in diameter. It comes with a card explaining the meaning of the medal.
