I put this out in full sun to charge up, about 6 hours. Then I set it for dim light with motion sensing and mounted it on the corner of my deck. Very impressive for such an inexpensive fixture! The housing is metal, not plastic, and the solar cell covers the entire top of the lamp. The motion sensing feature is great when approaching from the front and tapers off if you approach from the sides. The lamp doubles in brightness when it senses you and stays bright for about 30 seconds before going back to dim. I liked this light so much that I ordered a second one for the other corner of my deck!

Hello I am so impressed with this light. It is very bright and the solar panel works wonderful. I was able to install it without even asking my husband for help since I just had to put it in and not attach an electrical wire. The house we bought didn’t have a garage light so that’s where I put this and that design looks great. I really like the dust to dawn sensor too so I don’t have to worry about trying it on or off.
