I would have given this blanket 5 stars if it was a little heavier..my Chihuahua loves the softness of it. I use it as a cover for her ortho pet bed and she loves it. I would not refer to this product as a cushion mat because I could not use it as a stand alone without the ortho pet bed, it is a very soft throw blanket. It appears well made, but I don't know how it will stand up to the washing machine yet...
