It's quite functional for small items. I like it for backpack travel when I use it as a waist pack so my personal items are in front of me for easy access. Then I can use the wrist or shoulder strap for other times when hands free is not as important. My only disappointment is that the strap is black which is quite obvious on the red bag, I didn't notice that in the picture but it's not a deal breaker as the price was so reasonable and I'm not using it for any high fashion events,
