It seems that with few exceptions, Crytopixes have become so easy that they are often solvable just from the thumbnail image, and the solve rate is usually more than one solve per second for the first minute or two. This makes getting a top ten finish, and to a lesser degree a top 100 finish, a matter of download speed and “luck of the draw” with regard to response time from the server.

I’d like to challenge the puzzle designers and moderators to boost the difficulty of Cryptopixes in the future. I’m not saying they need to take an hour to solve, but it would be nice if they took more than one or two seconds.
