Now that there are additional points awarded based being one of the first 100 solvers, the effect on the Eastern Tangans of a 10pm puzzle start is such that it makes it seem more unfair than it used to be (when it didn’t make any point difference if the puzzle was solved the next day).

It is difficult to please all the people, all the time, however I have a suggestion.

There are currently four puzzles published simultaneously at 10pm, daily. Would it be more fair if three of the puzzles were published at different times?
Perhaps:
5pm Pacific, (8pm Eastern)- Cryptopix
6pm Pacific, (9pm Eastern) – Easy Puzzle and Hypercross
7pm Pacific, (10pm Eastern) – Hard Puzzle

This would have a couple effects
o the people on the east coast would have a fair chance at getting some of the bonus points – while the west coasters would still be awake to join at 5pm.
o puzzlers would potentially be exposed to three products daily, instead of only the one that happens to be on at 10 pm.

This seems to me to be a reasonable compromise.
