Best Song Intro of All Time?

Best Song Intro of All Time?

Edit 8/28: See post 28 for my top nominee.

Inspired by a comment rashawnsgrandma made last night in the crypto, what is the best song intro of all time? I’m not going to list my nominee yet because I think it would lead to a very short thread (of course I may be biased :-))

If you have a nominee perhaps you could provide a link to the song as well?

EDIT 8/6: I originally posted this based only on rashawnsgrandma’s comment and my belief that one song intro (not yet named in this thread) stands above the rest. I had never specifically paid attention to song intros in general. But after several of the posts (and input from some non-Tanga friends) I’m finding the topic much more interesting than I had originally imagined. I’ve realized that oftentimes the introduction is the best part of a song.

And it seems like one could almost categorize intros by different type. E.g. Short but iconic intros that almost everyone would recognize after just a few notes (Beach Boys: California Girls). Or intros with non-traditional music components (the cash registers & adding machines in Pink Floyds ‘Money’). I realize this topic hasn’t really caught on in the Tanga community, but I may play with it for just a little while longer before letting it die out.

I almost wish I could find a medley comprised of just great song intros instead of having to listen to the whole songs!
