Another "new points" post

Another "new points" post

Since this is an issue different from purchases-for-points issue raised in the other post….

In the old points system, someone who came and solved the puzzles every day still had some reward (beyond the obvious fun of solving the puzzles), in that eventually they would get some “tanga cash” or a new Fruit icon, etc.

Now it seems that if you are a person who A) Isn’t very good at solving the puzzles quickly, or “under pressure”, or B)Can’t regularly be on the site at the very moment the puzzle is posted, you have no chance at a reward, since you miss out on the huge bonus points for being in the Top 100 solvers.

Some people are very good at the puzzles, and seem to be right on top of when they are published. It seems to me that these 10 or 20 users are the ones this new site is geared towards, as they are certainly going to be the front-runners in the points contest.

I realize that you can submit puzzles for points as well, but again, that seems to be something that some people do very well, but isn’t cut out for everyone. (also, it’s not clear to me how the whole process from submissions to approval/rejection/publishing really works).

Lastly, some of us simply prefer the “slow build-up for prizes” to the stress of a competition… I know I fall into that category. (I often prefer cooperative games, Dislike the stress of “tournaments”, etc.)

So how about it, TangaGods? Throw some bones to those of us who are a bit more casual about our Tanga-ing? Either a return to “tiered” rewards, or at least some kind of monthly drawings for people who reach a minimum number of points (Solving xx% of published puzzles, etc.)?
