Wishing You and Yours A Safe and Wonderful Thanksgiving!

Wishing You and Yours A Safe and Wonderful Thanksgiving!

I wanted to take the time to wish all Tanganites a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving’s intent is to express thanks for one’s material and spiritual possessions. To me the Tanga community fits into the spiritual category. Being entertained thru Tanga sure lifts my spirits ~ many times.

Not going to get into a post about thanks for ones spiritual possessions as that can encompass a vast meaning. All I know is that I appreciate all people in all walks of life. I have had an enriched life just knowing people of other religions/cultures and has always caused me to think that it’s not faith that separates us but religion. So I will keep on celebrating that difference.

I was out shopping today for the larger part of our feast. My daughter will be home from university and our little family of four will be together grazing for the day. I’m opting for the easy route in my choices this year as I am fighting no less than four health problems. Nothing major or that 3000 mg of double antibiotics a day won’t fix. However I am fighting chronic mono WHICH was a gift from my son. I actually have never see him chugging drinks out of the container standing in front the fridge – but obviously he does. And did! =) So I am just to exhausted on a regular basis to do the whole turkey day spread like I usually do. It will be a wonderful, loving, fun and memorable week for me and I will wallow in it to my utmost.

I do miss one thing and dislike another. I miss anticipating the old tradition of ‘nothing Christmas till the day after Thanksgiving’ and really, really dislike that day being called ‘Black Friday’. So once my daughter arrives home and before Thursday the four of us will decorate the outside of the house. We will all sleep in on ‘Lazy Friday’, microwave leftovers, watch Wall-E and play video games together. When it gets dark we will all stand at attention on the curb in front of our home and have our own ‘light up night’. And hug each other and grin like the grinch.

Thought it would nice to go around the Tanga table and give our thanks so let’s here what you are doing before December starts.

Happy Holidays Tanga!

Jean
