Something about how it shoots a bunch of gels at the same time makes it really pack a punch and my son just loves it! You don't need batteries because it works with a pump action, and I think that makes it feel more awesome to him. He's constantly finding new targets to blast!!

Got this at our local target Hits as hard as our Gel Blaster Surge but no batteries. Pump sound is super satisfying, kids love it and so do I, recommend!
High quality and just as good as battery powered blasters. This item can be compared to the nerf raid shotgun except it is easier to pump. The main downside is it can feel a little unwieldy in the long-run but overall still very fun and packs quite the punch! Comes with prehydrated gel balls so you can start playing immediately! Also refilling is very easy which is a big plus. Would like to see if in the future that the fins can be swapped for team indication and customization like with a lot of the other gel blasters in the series.
it's a big and bulky pump action shotgun that can fire 6 balls per shot and you can prime it again for more, and it's dang right satisfying tho what's preventing this gun from being perfect is the grip is a bit thin and noncurved same as well with the pump grip making it less comfortable compared to the nerf gelfire raid shotgun and I kind do wish it fired like 8 gel balls per shot but that would take some slight redesigning to make it possible but outside of those criticisms, it's an incredibly fun shotgun and a jack of all trades primary if you want something that can hit anything with ease while having a slim down magazine reservoir compared to the nerf gelfire raid magazine reservoir.
The Barracuda I got just yesterday broke immediately. It still sort of functioned, hence the 2 stars instead of 1, but it shot anywhere from 4-12 pellets. The additional pellets would have been a massive upgrade if they didn't go only ~10 feet. The bottom barrel of the gun was shooting way under the performance of the top two. Probably 80 FPS. (I don't have a chronograph) I will say it's very uncomfortable to use, and doesn't have any high quality features despite the price. Still a crap grip, still a plastic barrel, and I still got a defect. I plan to return it and try a new one. If that works better, I'll try to update this review.
