This shade blocks out the light coming in almost 100%, due to the grommets in the top of curtain, even with a black out curtain rod, light still gets in through the top. I keep the top covered with a blanket but am hoping to get a valance of sorts permanently hung at the top of the window to block out all the light. We go for the extreme blackout for our kids room;)
I got these in 'taupe' color for my mom and she likes them! They are medium weight (fabric is black in the back), and do a good job of blocking out the morning sun. Good price too. I'll be buying more!
I'm very happy with these curtians. they were the perfect length and color for my room and black out 80% of the light which is perfect
These curtains are perfect for my room. I'd tried two other brands, one of which was Eclipse blackout curtains, and neither were truly blackout. The flashlight from my iPhone on its highest setting does not shine through the fabric of these curtains. I also purchased (from Target) a specific curtain rod which allows the curtains to hang flush to the wall. The only place light comes through is at the very top few inches between the top of the curtain and the ceiling. If you can hang them high enough so the fabric is touching the ceiling, they would let in even less light. Good quality fabric, slight sheen, grommets allow for easy opening and closing.
Excellent bargain ... second purchase if these for more windows . Cuts out all light , keeps the rooms cooler as well ! Win win
