I changed to elastic belts after visiting Itally. The look good and work better.

I bought three different belts of this type. Great value for the price. Flexible fit. By that I mean if you order a size 38, it will probably work fine for 33 to 43. Just stretch it. Only negative is mine is about 10 inches longer than it needs to be. My casual shorts have the loops widely spaced so the belt may wind up hanging if it doesn’t quite make the loop. I just tuck it under. Theses belts don’t have spaced holes. That’s what makes the fit so flexible.
