It’s just a matter of time before the wires detach from the connector (that goes into the phone. The end of the silicone wire cover is supposed to set onto a tiny circular metal piece. It detached from from the metal piece exposing the wires and stretching the wires. The wires will succumb to the added tension and break soon.
