Nice, tidy design and much more compact than our previous shredder (not a Fellowes). Sleek, quick, reliable, easy to empty, and handles multiple sheets very well. It does handle 9 as advertised, but just to keep it for as long as you can, I suggest keeping things to 6 or fewer at a time and take care not to allow your sheets to get bunched up. That was a mistake I made with our previous model and it didn't end well. Treat your Fellowes well and your Fellowes will treat you well right back.

I was looking for an economical shredder to handle about 10 years worth of bills and documents. The Fellowes LX50 looked like it would fit the bill and it did. The shredder is rated for 9 sheets of paper at a time and cross cuts them for added security. The shredder has a security lock for safe operation and a 4.4 gallon shredder basket, which will handle the output of a shredding session. The shredder will handle standard paper with ease and also shreds credit cards or documents with staples.

I was not sure of this shredder, but it was a gift for Christmas. I used it, and it was great surprise to see how good it did.

This is my 3rd paper shredder in the last 10 years and I can already tell the difference in quality. This is a solid shredder for home and light office use. It shreds very well and the motor seems to be very good. I expect this shredder to last a long time.
