Hours of fun!

We bought this for our granddaughter when she was about 6 months old. It adjusts low enough that she could reach the floor then and now that she's a year old and walking, we've adjusted it up and she just loves to get in it and go. It's been her favorite toy since that first day we put her in it! The toy bar on the front did not attach on both sides, but it hasn't hindered her at all.

Works great for my needy little one *update

Please read update below!!!Works great for my little one. She’s 7 months old and has been using it for about 2 months. The green things on the side are to attach other toys to it which is awesome so we can switch toys out if she gets bored. Only problem is she trys to put those green things in her mouth and chew on them but other than that, works great!** so my little one is now 11 months, she’s walking on her own but still needs a little help. It did work great but NOW that I know a little more, I would have bought a different one. I would have bought one that has no back bottom base, and a handle bar in the back so she could use it as a push walker. Now that she’s walking on her own, this won’t have to much of a purpose anymore. As a parent I’m all for getting things that will serve more than one purpose because they grow and develop so fast and baby toys add up in price. Overall, did work great.Just my opinion, hope this helps.

Great walker

For the price, I thought this was an awesome deal. The walker we had with our first son was plain with no toy station or adjustability and it cost only a few dollars less. We bought this Bright Stars safari walker for our newest baby and we're very happy with the features. The height is adjustable so it'll grow with our son. So far our 20-pound 6-month-old fits perfectly in it. He can't maneuver it much yet, but it allows him to stand, which I think makes him feel a little independent. The toy station has a few bells and whistles and seems to keep him entertained. The little steering wheel can turn fully around left or right and makes a clicking sound when turned. It also has a horn, which lights up and plays music. There's a function that can turn it off or lower the volume, which is great. I also like that the toy station is removable so it can be used separately on the floor or on the go.Overall quality appears sturdy, not flimsy at all. The wheels glide fine on any hard floor. It can go forward and backwards, but doesn't turn as freely. However, a little controlled movement is ok with us. Although I don't have stairs in my house, I also like that it has a rubber bumper that acts as brakes when hitting unlevel ground. For an inexpensive walker, this one has a lot of great features. I wish I had it with my first baby.

This is an absolute must have for our daughter and life saver.

I hate assembling toys usually because you'll need a screw driver or something else in assembly. I only needed that to change the batteries. This walker is so much fun for our daughter she loves going in it. We have a jumper which she loathes going in but this walker we've been putting her in it for a few months now. She's 8 months old and I feel like it's helped her to begin sitting up better and helping with her cognitive functions such as how to traverse our home. She has to use her mind to get around corners or let's say a soafer. It's so amazing watching her use that brain on her own and problem solve all while having fun in that s walker which doesn't have that much sound options but it's fine. I totally recommend this walker for any parents who need to rest the little ones down for a few seconds while you wash a bottle or need to do something else and set the baby down.

Added to the arsenal of baby entertainment...

The Bright Starts Walk-A-Bout Walker has been a positive addition to our arsenal of baby entertainment gear. This product took only minutes to assemble. The knob to adjust the height was a little trickier, but pretty easy to use once we figured out you had to pull it forward after turning it. The wheels roll well; though only the front wheels allow for side to side movement, the back wheels are set for forward and backward only. I like the feature of the rubber mats that sit only a few centimeters off the ground which inhibits the walker from moving onto the carpet or down stairs. The activity part of the walker is entertaining. The center of the wheel is a button that lights up and either honks or plays a short little tune. The wheel is a nice feature, but is too difficult for my little one to turn at all and clicks very loudly when it it is turned. My 7 month old's favorite part of the activity set is the rings that can be spun. The lion on the activity bar can be moved only a few clicks and is also very difficult to move. The rings that attach on either side are useful for chewing on (at least that is what my 7 month old finds them most useful for). I have also used links to attach toys to the walker so that she can't throw them off and then whine for me to give them back. She has figured out that they are still attached and can fish them back up.The seat is a nice material and connects to the base with little tabs that makes it secure, yet easily removable if it needs to be washed. I do wish that there was a little bit of a tray for finger foods, but there are only two very small indents on either side of the activity bar that can only contain maybe 5 cheerios each. Overall this is a useful tool for entertaining my little one in the kitchen while I am working in there!

My son loves it!

We first put my son in this walker at around 4 months of age. The first few times he hated it and didn’t know what to make of it but after trying a few more times he started to get the hang of it. He didn’t get much distance with it in the beginning but after a month of use, he’s an expert at zigging and zagging all over the place and even chases the dogs with it (we have hardwood floors so he has no issue getting around). I know some people warn against walker use, but my son just loves the independence of being able to glide around to different people and touch different things around the house. Of course, as with any baby toys, you need to exercise caution and supervise use. The walker has helped my son gain strength in his legs and it’s been a great distraction for him when I need to make a quick meal. The walker itself seems built fairly well for its price. The center of the steering wheel lights up and makes sounds to keep my son engaged. The seat pad is removable so you can throw it in the wash or just hand wash it. The walker can also be collapsed for storage (I didn’t bother doing this since he used it daily). There are two things about this walker that I don’t like, the two green links and the arc with the tiger on it. The links, which are used to hook on additional toys, are VERY sharp! After putting them in for about two minutes and having my son nearly take out his eye with it, I removed them. The other thing I dislike is the arc with a tiger on it. When you move the tiger across the arc it makes a very loud clicking sound and it always throws my son off. He never plays with it but does like the round toys at the end. My son is now about 28 inches and his feet are completely flat on the ground using the highest level setting. The instruction manual says he should be on the ball of his feet so unfortunately it might be time to retire it …FYI - child should be able to sit up unassisted and be less than 26lbs to be able to use this walker.
