I've tried this in a few rooms in my house and have gotten a pretty similar reading in all of them so I decided to throw some variables in the mix. First time I vaporized (not smoked) some marijuana and blew it into the unit and it immediately reacted by ramping up the fan, the digital readout, and the color of the screen (which has set ranges so it can be seen across the room even if you aren't close enough to see the number). I couldn't believe how urgently it reacted but it came down nearly as quickly as it ramped up showing it scrubbed the air pretty quickly. The next test was to blow cigarette smoke at it and it was met with the same reaction but took slightly longer to clear which I would have expected. The third test was impromptu in the form of some cleaner that was giving me a headache after using it (I have a chemical sensitivity t some things). I put the unit right next to where it was applied and although the air quality number barely went up the odor was removed in a few minutes which I was very happy about.I've used this as basically as one could by simply turning it on auto and letting it do it's thing but you can turn up the fan speed and set timers on it as well. The light on top that corresponds to the set ranges of air quality also has dimming options and can also be turned off completely while the unit is still running. So far I'm happy with it.

We have 2 dogs, one of whom sheds quite a bit. We also live in a dry and dusty area, so everything gets re-covered in dust as soon as you clean it. With this filter, it significantly cuts both the pet and dust issues. Our living room feels so fresh. Plus, it's QUIET! Wow - you forget it's there!

When I got this up and running the display was showing red, meaning bad air quality, in my open plan living/kitchen area. It took just over an hour, running at the highest setting, to finally turn green! It's good to know it monitors the air quality while running which does give me some peace of mind.It also has a timer and sleep function. The sleep function operates at the lowest speed and turns the lights off. It's straightforward to use, has an easy to read instruction booklet and a light will come on when the filter needs changing. In between times you can turn the machine off and use a small vacuum attachment to clean the filter cabin and infrared dust sensor.

My garage in the heat and humidity sometimes takes on a musty smell, and there seems to be a fair amount of dust in there at times, as I work a lot there. I thought this HEPA filtration device might improve the air quality, and it does! After two hours on medium fan, the air is fresher and more clear! The controls on the top are intuitive and easy to read and use. There is a minimalist instruction booklet. There is a colored ring on the top to indicate overall air quality. I am impressed with the performance of this device and will likely purchase another for the house.

I'm using this air purifier in my master bedroom, which is about the size of this machine's capacity (463 sq ft). It's silent, seems efficient, and with a long haired cat and a shorthaired corgi who sheds fur all year long, I'm glad to have it. I've not operated it long enough to determine how often filters need replacing.

Very quiet air purifier. We have dogs inside and I can already tell a difference. Not as much dust.

I seem to be sleeping better but haven’t noticed any cut down on dust or hair in my bedroom which is where I have this located. My main concern was my sleep quality because I was always stuffed up and getting frequent headaches and there has been improvement there. I just hope I can get a replacement filter when the time comes and right now it doesn’t look like this company has any yet. Oh and I don’t like that you can’t completely turn off the lights on this at night for sleeping because I need total darkness at night so have a coaster I have to place on the black part to cover the panel. Even in their “sleep” mode it’s still not completely dark.

First off, this air puffier works and is very easy to operate. It is lightweight, has a nice lite digital screen (with options to adjust) and it’s quiet. However, it does have some issues with getting this device to work properly.🆇 Issue 1: Not picking up obvious odorsI placed my $600 Alen Purifier right next to this machine and immediately at the smell of odors this machine will NOT be triggered to turn up. The air quality meter may increase some (1-5 points) but never enough to be triggered to automatically turn up past low (unless I manually did it myself). Meanwhile, my other puffier will turn on before I can smell the odor while this device is still unbothered/not recognizing the odors to clean.🆇 Issue 2: Wind drifts matterThis device seems to ONLY be triggered if you fan or blow something directly into it. So if I shake a sheet in its direction and/or spray a freshener in its vicinity, it will then turn up to clean the air. This is an issue because ideally, you want it to clean the air without having to prompt it to do so. For example, I could smell cigarette smoke from my neighbors (or nasty food odors) and my other purifier immediately turns up while this one stays idle. This is not efficient. My other purifier automatically turns on without needing to have the "right" breeze to trigger it.TWO MONTH OBSERVATIONAfter using this device for TWO months, I can conclude that this device does work but not properly (or efficiently) as my other device. I wasn’t expecting it to operate like a $600 purify but I expected it to work similarly at a smaller capacity (at 463 ft max). This did not. If you have constant air circulation blowing at this device you may get a better clean but this isn’t convenient for me. It’s easy to operate although it’s not fully functional at all times. Unfortunately, I can not rely on this device alone so I had to give it 3-stars (although I would give it 2.5 if I could). It's better than others I've tried in the past at under $150 but it's just better than the worst.

UPDATE: I was loving this until the time came to replace the filter. The company FINALLY made one available, which I happily purchases. Fast forward to now. Not only does the company not have replacement filters available, I can't find any filter that will fit. I got the closest thing that I can find, and I keep getting an error message that the filter still needs to be replaced. This thing is absolutely useless now, and yours will be too.We keep all of our long haired cat's stuff in our bedroom, including her litter box. I set air purifier up 3 weeks ago on auto mode and I haven't had to touch it since. You can absolutely tell the difference in the air quality in our bedroom for the past few weeks and my husband's allergies have diminished.
