We travel and we can get home from the airport via taxi and use the app on the phone to get into the house. I can let people into the garage remotely. Love it.

Purchased Nexx garage door opener and then found out it was not compatible with my operer.My manual covered 6 models. Sent e-mail and Nexx responded in less then 4 hours.By the end of day what I needed to make it work was on the way. When what I needed arrived it took less then 5 min. to install and make it work. Works great and the features to customize on my I phone are spot on for what i want to know. No monthly user fees. This is how a company should work. Great remote and outstanding support. With a lot of junk that's out there, and no response for support when needed, it's nice to find a company that I would gladly sign my name to. Thanks Nexx and keep up the good work.

We bought a Nexx garage door control because of the good reviews, even though it is not compatible with our Nest home security. It was very easy to install and set up, taking about an hour. With the Nexx app on our phones we can always know if the garage door is open or shut. If we forget to shut the garage door when leaving, we can shut it from the Nexx app. I don't know how many times I drove back to my house because I couldn't remember shutting the garage door. There is also an optional phone alert when the garaged door is opening or is shut, and a reminder that the garage door is still open. The Nexx control has been very reliable and we wish we had done this a long time ago.

The item seems to work exactly as it is supposed to. I have had it for a couple of months now and it has done its job well. The biggest issue I had was installation as my garage door rises several inches before it begins moving away from the wall above it. This made clearance of the stationary sensor an issue. If I raised the sensor higher then the traveling sensor would not clear the spring bar. I finally solved this by moving the sensors to the side, beyond the springs, where it is only the bar, and sinking the stationary sensor into the 2x6 above the garage door. I used a chisel to hollow out a space sufficient to place the stationary sensor inside, thereby making the sensor face flush with the wall. After the installation woes, the product has done very well.

Set up is easy, just need a ladder and a drill (phillips head I think it was).I prepped the sticky tape surfaces with alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and made sure it was clean.It just works, so I won't go into serious detail, however to get it working how you want it to with your Google Home I suggest using an IFTTT work around (google IFTTT if you are unsure). Otherwise the only way it integrates is via some weird non native integration way where you have to say "Hey google open nexus garage door opener" or something weird like that.Using IFTTT you can say anything you want to open it, like "hey google, open garage door". "Hey google, open falcon bay one" etc.Note I have only owned this for a month or so, used probably 90 times or so I would imagine.

I bought this after having left the garage door open over night (oops). I wanted it to do four things.1. Alert me if I leave the garage door open and leave my house2. Alert my phone when someone opens the garage.3. Allow my wife and I separately use the app from our individual phones.4. Can it automatically close the garage door every day at the same time if open.#1-3 are integral to the product and work perfectly. For #4, I just needed to use the app IFTTT (If This Then That). Once you add NEXX to the app, there is a ready made applet to set the garage door to close at any time you want.Oh, it also works with Alexa so you can just tell it to close or open the door.Great product!
