Not the best out there, it’s harder to spread than the creme one from gigi, but I want to try something more natural. It does remove just fine, but I’m not a fan of this

I've tried several kinds of wax and the All-Purpose Honee is serviceable. It does the job it's intended for; it has its flaws, but if you apply it correctly it doesn't leave a ginormous mess. What I found to help was that instead of powder I used GiGi's Pre-Epilation Oil; I rubbed a couple of drops of that onto my legs before waxing them and the stuff came right off and took the hair with it. (Just make sure it's a VERY little bit of oil; blot with a paper towel before waxing if you need to, too much oil and the wax won't stick to anything!) You also have to make sure you lay it on VERY thin. I had to keep a sharp eye out for drips and stray bits; this wax goes on almost clear, so it's pretty easy to lose track of little spots on my very fair skin. As long as I caught them fast, though, they came right off with the quick application of a strip. I didn't even need baby oil. It's not a bad product, as long as it's used right; I wouldn't say it's my mostest favoritest wax in the entire world, but it's a really good value for the price and it does the job it's supposed to do. Can't ask for more than that.

I just purchased the GiGi waxing kit in September. It was a great decision! This product is high-quality! I use it for my lip hairs, and it is gentle and leaves a clean finish after the first try! I used to use the Sally Hansen hard wax kit, and the GiGi made a huge difference. It has much more professional quality and is easier on the skin, especially the sensitive skin of the upper lip. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I was not aware of the complete MESS this can make if you do not take the correct precautions. This wax is not like hard wax, or like candle wax which quickly cools and hardens. This wax will stick on your counters, fingers, or anything else around and DOES NOT COME OFF. It is much easier to remove the wax from your skin (rub it with oil) but if it gets on anything else it is an absolute pain to get it off. I'm telling you, the wax is WORSE THAN GUM. It can ruin your countertops and clothes. I recently had to throw out my makeup bag and hair dryer because the wax spilled all over it by mistake. Basically, the GiGi waxing kit and wax are amazing products and will save you tons of money at salons, but take the right precautions and BE CAREFUL not to get the wax everywhere. Conceal the wax after use and place it far away from other objects. Place a large towel under the waxing appliance to catch any wax.

I used this for the first time and it worked well. the heater kept it at a comfortable heat for my legs. the temp was a little high for more sensitive areas. I agree that this is very sticky messy stuff. I am disappointed that it is not water soluble as is the wax used in the salons because that would make clean up much easier. You can use baby oil to get the wax off your hands. helpful hints: definately use the collar. I cut a hole in a paper towel and use it over the collar and it works well for extra protection. I spread paper towels and plastic bags on the floor and on surfaces where the wax might drip. as i said, baby oil will get the residue off your hands. spread paper towels out to catch any drips. I slather on vaseline afterwards to get the wax off my hands, legs etc. it works better than oil. It really would be MUCH better if this wax could just wash off with water.

I got this at Sally's during a promotion, which included the All Purpose Honee Wax, as well as the warmer, large muslin strips, and (useless) instructional DVD, all for $30. (I had to buy the applicators separately.) Previously, any experience I had waxing was from using pre-waxed strips (less messy, but also much less effective) and going to the salon a couple of times, where a full leg wax costs $60 plus tip. Therefore, the idea of me being able to easily, effectively, and cheaply wax myself at home with a kit seemed quite attractive. This wax has a really nice smell of honey, and takes 15-20 minutes for a full jar to melt to the proper consistency. However, the reason why I gave the product a rating of 4 stars is because although it does a pretty good job of removing the hair for the most part, it does cause some of the fine hairs to break rather than being pulled out by the root. Fortunately, the coarse hairs were pulled out just fine, unless they were embedded, prompting the need for tweezers to remove the ingrown hairs. The first time I used this wax, I did my legs and underarms, and must have used 75% of the jar, way too much! I believe that when used in normal amounts, the jar should last for 4 uses if used for a full leg wax. I must also add that, being a honey wax, the Gigi All Purpose Honee Wax can be pretty sticky. After finishing my jar of this wax, I decided to try the Suddenly Smooth cream wax, also from Sally's. I've tried the Deluxe (pink jar) and Aloe (green jar) varieties, and both are great! They do also have a honey wax with argan oil, which, as I expected, is just as sticky as the Gigi honey wax.
