We had a screen we bought at a local store, it fell apart and ripped at the bottom, I almost fell when my foot got caught on the bottom hole. I purchased this one hoping for a better product. I have not been disappointed! It is so much more durable and easier to install. I did it myself in less than 10 minutes. It has held up so far to 3 dogs that visit here regularly. I recommend this to anyone that needs a screen. I love that the magnets are inside the lining which makes it look much nicer. A couple of days after I installed it I noticed it wasn't closing properly. I finally realized that because I hadn't secured the top middle of the screen ( I didn't use all of the pins on the top) it had come loose and had dropped causing the screen to not properly close. Make sure to follow instructions and put the top middle of the screen slightly higher so that it works properly.

The installation of this is extremely easy. It has only been a couple of days but has already provided a much needed breeze on our 3rd floor patio without the addition of insects. As you can tell from the images, this screen is slightly larger than the patio door we have (mistake on my part for not measuring beforehand), but I was still able to adhere the screen to the frame of the patio door/stucco exterior with confidence that it should stay for quite some time. There are slight cracks in the closures near the magnetic strip but they are very slight (not enough for insects to get in) and can probably be remedied by steaming the fabric prior to installation (see images). Would purchase again if needed to, but the velcro tape adhesion seems to be extremely durable to most surfaces.

Installation was simple but does require you to poke small holes as you do need the little tacks it comes with. Measure your doorway correctly as the correct size will help. Tacks will not go through stucco. My 15lb. dog figured it out quickly and she easily walks through it. Mesh is not meant to keep animals out. It's helping me keep flies and mosquitos out of the house. I think it's working great. I bought one for my uncle who lives in the South. He didn't want a traditional screen door installed. He loves it as he doesn't have to "open" it or slide it open by hand. He had to do add a long piece of wood as a border on one side as he has double doors. He was able to get it working very well. He just pokes his finger and it separates to open. Loves it now.

Originally I bought the one that was "as seen on TV". It was thick, and one of the first I had seen. I bought it for a 6ft french door with mixed results. I liked that it was thicker mesh, which I thought would withstand our dogs going in and out of it. It was ok but its automatic closing ability was so so. This one however is awesome. It has a thin mesh that I was worried about, but that has not been an issue at all. One of our dogs jumps up on it on the door with his claws almost daily, and the mesh still looks brand new. The automatic closing feature works perfectly, and with dogs going in and out, the Velcro has held up without having to be adjusted. The feature where you can tuck it up and out of the way is awesome as well because when we have gatherings we can prop it out of the way to go in and out easily and not worry about having to move it out of the way.

We have been buying these screens since they first came out---we have tacked, stapled, shored up with gorilla tape and done everything possible to make them last and do their job of keeping the flying pests out. We live in the Oregon woods (under the canopy). Our front door is a heavy traffic area. Dogs, cats people and kids all day long. The magnets start falling apart quicker than bottom of the netting. The was the magnets click together on this (they are contained inside the middle seams) is fantastic!! Love It!!

This product is really great. I currently live in an apartment and have a balcony. I have 2 large dogs, one who loves to sun bathe and will spend hours outside lounging in the sun on the balcony, and a second dog who thinks I solely exist to let her in and out of the balcony all day long (like she's outside for 2 minutes and wants to come back in, then she's inside for 2 minutes and barks to go back out - not to potty (we have walks for that) just to sniff, sit and play. I tried just leaving the door to the balcony open, however that just let the flies in. So you can imagine that this magnetic screen door is great, especially with working from home. I only had to show the dogs once how to go through it (I used cream cheese to coax them through the door) and now they just go in and out as they please. This was easy to install, took me just a couple of minutes to read the instructions and I set it up myself while my husband was at work. The magnets seem strong too, as they reseal the door as soon as the dogs or humans go through it. Now my dogs are happy, no flies in the house, and I assume my boss is happy because I can sit at my desk and work from home instead of hopping up and down to let the doggos out. Win - win - win!

This magnetic screen was delivered in a timely manner and it lives up to the good reviews. The screen material is thicker and seems more durable than other magnetic screens I have seen in the past. The magnets are sewed into the lining and run the full length of the closure. The adhesive on the hook and loop strips is extremely sticky and so far we have not needed the tacks that came along with the screen. The only warning I want to give: If you live in an extremely windy area, this may not work for you. We had some pretty gusty wind last night as a storm was coming in and it did cause this screen to open. Most people would have their door closed for that kind of weather so it shouldn't be a problem. Our door was open because it was extremely hot. All in all, I highly recommend this magnetic screen and I would purchase this again.

I thought it might not work on 1 door because I had to apply it inside the doorframe, inbetween a metal grate door and a traditional door. (the grate opens outward, the front door opens inward, so the only place in right in the middle.) But it did fit! the adhesive is so strong that it hasn't peeled off yet, and doesn't look like it will anytime soon. Plus, there are pushpins in case it does. I also got one for the back door, and it also works perfectly. It's only been 3 days that they have been up, but they work so far! the magnetic almost always closes behind me. If it doesn't, I can just sort of kick it around with my foot and it will close. Which is nice, because I usually have my hands full when I'm walking in or out the door.

The best one yet !! Was a perfect fit for my door, took only a few minutes to put up. Magnetic closer is strong! No worries it will close behind you. You will not regret this purchase.

Easy to install and durable. Make sure you use the nails that are provided to hammer into your door frame. The screen will sag from the very top if you just use the adhesive tape Without nailing them down, which cause the screen to stay open. Make sure to install it while the magnet screen is closed, if not, you would’ve stretched the screen out to wide and it won’t shut and you have to redo. If it’s too long, you can adjust it by pulling up the slack a little bit and nail it a little higher. Just apply the adhesive tape first, find the perfect fit by going in and out of the screen, and once your satisfied with the fit, then nail it down. Very easy to adjust and works perfectly!
